Valley View Campsite

A aimé Everything. Clean facilities and well maintained pitches. Friendly host. Quiet, adults only. Good space between pitches so didn't feel squashed. The pitches are flat as the hill doesn't start until further down, so no issues with being level but means you get amazing views from up high. Got to see loads of stars as it was a clear night. BBQs allowed. Had a great stay. Honestly one of the - if not the - best places we've camped.

N'a pas aimé Not a dislike for us, but there are several farms surrounding and the baa-ing from the sheep is constant. Recommend ear plugs for sleeping and it's absolutely fine. Just something to bear in mind if you're sensitive to noise.

A aimé The view was incredible for a sunset, the area was very peaceful and the owners were exceptionally kind and tentative.

A aimé Helen a wonderful host. The views are absolutely outstanding. Facilities excellent and clean, including common area with fridge very useful. Shout out Helen, who on is complimenting her lavender field bought us a dried bundle to take home FOC, also sorted us some milk for coffee again FOC - incredibly generous host, wonderful spot we would come back anytime.

A aimé Excellent campsite , great views across the valley , spacious pitches , the facilities were really good , Foxton locks a 15 minute drive are really worth a visit and all made easy thanks to the friendly and helpful owner Helen .

A aimé What a lovely campsite. Helen was so accommodating as we arrived early so phoned ahead and she let us on early, being new to camping we were grateful to have more time to set up. Helen gave us lots of pitches to choose from and the views are stunning. Lovely warm and clean barn for communal use and facilities spotless. Loved the little touches like tea and coffee, cups and plates etc… washing up facilities all there and a fridge. Very handy. It really had a nice feel.

We walked to Foxton Locks (roughly an hour and a half walk) and definitely worth it; the cute little bar/cafe was lovely right on the canal so we enjoyed watching the barges.

We got a takeaway from the local Chinese, which was delicious.

Would definitely go back and highly recommend.

A aimé Great site, big pitches and the option of different areas, all with fantastic views over the countryside.
Warm and informative welcome from the owner.
Loved the addition of the barn for communal use too.
Quiet nights with sunsets and stars, Perfect.
Will definitely be back!

A aimé What a lovely, very peaceful site. Adults only which we prefer. Great facilities all kept very clean. The owner Helen was very accommodating especially when our van wouldn't start.
