I cannot write a better review for the old stables site. Mike facilitated us to come 2 nights earlier than booked. The showers were hot, the toilets were plenty and both were cleaned meticulously. The owners were lovely to chat with. A van on site provided breakfasts, pizza, curry and various other foods varying each day. This site is located really well to visit anywhere in Cornwall. We had the best camping trip here. Reviews suggest the a30 is loud on this site but we stayed a full week and found no issue with the noise at all. There are fitepits and wood available to rent. Rules for noise meant it was peaceful of an evening. Wonderful place. Can't wait to come back again.

With regards to having an adult only section, we do advertise as a family campsite and therefore this time of the year do have a lot of families on site, so it is nigh on impossible to have adult only area. Had you visited outside of term time you would have found there to be less families and mostly adults.
We are sorry that you didn’t get much sleep during your stay. Unfortunately we do not have any control over what time the ‘cock a doodle do’, wakes up as it belongs to the farm next to us that supplies our free range eggs 🍳.
We really appreciate that although you would not wish to return, you will recommend us to your friends.
