Thank you for taking the time to write such an in depth review. It’s great that you found us easily and felt that the site was well maintained. The pods are cosy and warm, but appreciate that if you are tall that you may not have enough head space. Maybe a shepherds hut would give you more headspace.

We are sorry that you found the showers awkward to use and didn’t like them going off at 10pm at night, but this is to allow for them to be sanitised and left over night for the disinfectant to do its job ready for their first of many cleans in the morning. I agree that the sinks are small, but this is how they were designed to allow more room, but there is matting on the floor which if there is a water spillage should go directly through the mats. These are also cleaned several times a day and pressure washed at least once daily. I can however appreciate that you do walk through gravel before you step onto the concrete platform that houses the facilities, which if the weather is not favourable can be a pain and is something we would like to address in the future.

Although it’s great that you will still recommend us to your friends and visit again in the future.

We are sorry that the cockerel 🐓gave you an early alarm call, every morning . Even we keep hoping that he will loose track of time as he gets older and give us a lie in 🤣Unfortunately we have no control over the birds, because they don’t belong to us, but we do get amazingly fresh free range eggs from the farm though.

We can appreciate that our no visitor policy will not suit everyone, which is why we make it really clear in our T’s and C’s at the time of booking, so people have a choice of wether to stay with us and there is clear signage on site for everyone to be aware of. Our facilities are for paying guests whose fees go towards the up keep of the site and providing security so that we do keep our guests safe and it is something that we do not intend changing in the future.

It’s great though that you will still recommend us to your friends and would visit again in the future.

We do our best to give all of our guests a great stay and it’s great that people like yourselves take time to write reviews. We are glad that you found the easy access shower useful and had a chilled stay.

Unfortunately Cornwall doesn’t have the climate to stay open all year and our ground just wouldn’t survive. We do hope in the future to have some hard standing pitches that would enable us to offer a longer season. Although we do look forward to a winter break and some sun 🌞 after a busy summer so would need to close at some point 😁

Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and would visit again, despite the showers going off at 10pm. 😁. Turning them off at this time of night not only stops the misuse of them, but also allows Mike to spray them with a cleaning fluid that works overnight to thoroughly sanitise and leave them spotlessly clean ready for the morning rush. We are sorry that the ground on your pitch was muddy. As it is near the end of the season and we have had many rainy days the pitches especially the popular ones near the facilities that have had tents on for the last six weeks have taken a battering. Had we known this we could have moved you to another pitch.

I am sorry that you felt there was not much for the children to do. We do only advertise as a basic site and we encourage natural play in the middle of the big field, which is why it is left empty. We don’t plan to add any additional play areas in the future. We understand that this will not suit all of our guests and there are some like yourselves who would not wish to return, but hope you find a site more suited to your needs.
