Signs agreement with Cruise Inn, other U.S. parks listed, now in 18 countries worldwide

Outdoor accommodation specialist Pitchup.com, which allows users to search, review and book over 1,500 campgrounds and RV parks throughout Europe, continues its expansion with the announcement it has entered into the United States.

The largest online campground booking agent in Europe, Pitchup.com now offers locations in 18 countries worldwide, and already includes 60 European chains amongst its clients.

The rapidly growing company, which booked holidays for over 250,000 customers over the last year, officially announced its entrance into North America at the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC) 2015 Outdoor Hospitality Conference and Expo in Daytona Beach, Florida.

At the show, Pitchup.com also announced an agreement with launch partner Cruise Inn RV Parks, its first chain in the United States. Cruise Inn is an innovative brand of RV parks, campgrounds and cabins benefiting owners and guests with 36 locations open or in development throughout North America.

Named as North American reps for Pitchup.com are Colorado-based Brenda Bayliss, an avid camper with a background in sales, travel and business start-ups, and outdoors and sporting enthusiast Scott Glatstian, who is based in New Jersey with a background in the commercial real estate industry, where he specialised in client relationships.

Pitchup.com founder Dan Yates says: “We’re really excited to announce North America has been added to the Pitchup.com portfolio and to welcome our launch partner, Cruise Inn RV Parks, to the Pitchup.com family. With Cruise Inn’s parks across North America, plus independent locations in Maine, Alaska, California, Florida and Tennessee, we already have a good geographical spread across the U.S.

“The U.S. market is huge – with the camping sector accounting for 600 million bed nights per year. That compares to 60 million bed nights per year in the UK and 350 million in Europe.*”

“Pitchup.com has quickly become a leading outdoor hospitality booking service in Europe, so we are thrilled to align with the website as it hits the U.S. Their dedicated user base will enjoy learning more about our growing family of RV parks and campgrounds that offer guests reliable, comfortable and welcoming facilities, as well as a quality, consistent experience at a reasonable price,” said Scott Anderson, President and CEO of Cruise Inn.
