A aimé Beautiful cliff top views, excellent swimming pool, very quiet particularly on our first night. Pleasant, helpful staff. Mature well tended gardens on parts of the site. Reasonable proximity to Aberystwyth but a good job we took our e-bikes! TV reception.

N'a pas aimé Very narrow, steep, long approach road that was quite an ordeal for our classic motor home! No pub or local shops in proximity. Not very well stocked on site shop. Some BBQ items would have been good and a coffee shop/bar facilities in the games room. You had to pay for WiFi but 5G just about good enough

We understand your comments regarding the approach road, nearby amenities and the shop. However, we would always encourage guests to thoroughly research their chosen destination before booking. The access road, our rural location, distance from local shops and pubs, and the facilities available on site are all clearly described within our listing and park information prior to reservation.

Likewise, our shop is advertised as a small convenience store stocking everyday essentials rather than providing a full supermarket-style offering. That said, we fully recognise there is scope to expand and improve this area, and this is already part of our development plans.

We are currently focused on completing our new washroom and facilities building, which has been a major investment for the park. Once this project is complete, our attention will turn to further improvements to the shop, office and reception areas, allowing us to offer a wider range of products and enhanced services for our guests.

Morfa Bychan's unique appeal has always been its peaceful coastal setting, spectacular sea views and escape from busy commercial areas. While this may not suit everyone's preferences, it is exactly what many guests choose us for and return to enjoy year after year.

A aimé Swimming pool was a very lovely idea and made the holiday feel more special.

N'a pas aimé That I had to find my own pitch, got handed a map and left to it. Would have been better if an employee walked with us and guided us to the pitch.
I feel like the hotel could do more for example if they knew football was playing they could have organised an event instead of making us do it ourselves.

Thank you for your review, and we’re very pleased to hear that you enjoyed the swimming pool and that it added something special to your stay.

Regarding finding your pitch, our camping and tent areas work differently from our touring and motorhome pitches. Guests choose their own spot within the designated camping field, and our team shows you to the correct area rather than selecting a specific pitch. The park map you were given includes all facilities and layout information to help you settle in.

A member of staff also visited your setup shortly after your arrival to make sure everything was okay and to ensure you were not too close to the facilities. While we are always happy to help, we cannot operate as a 24‑hour concierge service — we are a peaceful coastal camping ground, not a hotel.

In terms of entertainment, we do not provide organised events or scheduled activities. A 10pm football kickoff is not something all guests would want to participate in, especially families with young children or those who come here specifically for the quiet atmosphere. Guests are welcome to enjoy the match together if they wish, but we do not run late‑evening entertainment.

We hope you had a relaxing stay overall, and we’d be happy to welcome you back again for another peaceful break by the coast.

You’ll be pleased to hear that once our new washroom building is fully completed, our next planned upgrade is the on‑site shop, including extra chillers and hopefully a small beer and wine section to give guests more choice. We also have improvements planned for the park facilities building, including the laundry area and even a possible dog wash, which many guests have asked for.

Thank you as well for mentioning the distance to the main facilities. Our Kestrel clifftop pitches are designed to make the most of the beautiful zeezicht, which does mean they sit a little further away from the washrooms and pool. Many Dutch guests tell us they’re not quite used to the Welsh hills — Holland is famously flat — so the walk can feel a bit more adventurous than expected.

We completely understand, and we appreciate you sharing that feedback with us.

A aimé Pool was great for the kids, little shop onsite with essentials, good games room for older kids with a tv and cool when it was super warm. The part with the holiday caravans in looked beautiful, park had an amazing view from it. We were on Kestrel sea view pitch without awning but could use our wind out which was fine for us.i

N'a pas aimé Overall I think the touring part of the park could look a lot nicer compared to the rest of the park. However we loved our stay, had an amazing view and the facilities were great. Very rocky pebbly beach but we drove to Borth to let the kids play on the sand , only 30 minutes away. Toilet block needs updating but can see a new building being built and a sign saying it has been delayed so looking forward to seeing that if we return. No motorhome waste point that we could see.

We're pleased to hear that you enjoyed many aspects of the park, and we appreciate your comments regarding the appearance of some of the newer areas. This summer has been one of the driest we have experienced for many years, and as a result even our usually lush green grass has become dry and straw-like in places despite our best efforts.

The newer pitch areas are part of an ongoing improvement project, and while they may currently look a little established-in-progress, they have been designed with extensive landscaping in mind. As the hedging, planting and surrounding vegetation mature over time, these areas will develop significantly and blend beautifully into the park's coastal setting.

We are continually investing in improvements across the park, including new facilities and landscaping works, and we're excited to see these projects take shape over the coming months.

A aimé Views from the pitch were incredible, staff were all very friendly and helpful. Swimming pool was clean and a relief from the hot weather.
Great little shop and the walk into aber via the costal path was breathtaking.

A aimé Views, facilities were excellent very clean and well looked after. Staff were friendly and happy to help. Pitch was perfect views of the sea and sunsets were to die for. Very easy access to the beach below and overall a really well kept site

Thank you for your feedback regarding the gravel pitch. We have found that some jockey wheels, particularly those without pneumatic tyres, can struggle on sections of gravel when using a motor mover. However, the vast majority of the pitch surface is well compacted and hardened off, and we're pleased that you were able to manoeuvre onto your pitch successfully.

We really appreciate your balanced comments and are delighted that this was the only minor issue during an otherwise enjoyable stay.

Regarding the points you mentioned, all of the features you’ve highlighted — the rocky shoreline, the rural access lane, and the preferred arrival and departure route — are clearly described before booking. We always encourage guests to read this information carefully, as it helps ensure expectations match the natural character of the park. The coastline here is beautiful but naturally rocky, and the access lane is typical of rural Wales, which is why we provide detailed guidance on the correct route for larger vehicles.

In terms of the building work, the new washblock is an essential improvement for the park. Work only takes place on weekdays between 8am and 5pm, and now that we’re in the final stages, noise is minimal and disruption is very low. We appreciate your understanding as we complete this upgrade for the benefit of all future guests.

We’re glad you were able to enjoy the tranquillity of the site overall, and we’d be happy to welcome you back again for another peaceful coastal break.

A aimé Fantastic sea views from my pitch on Kestrel, quite busy on arrival but fairly quiet. Lovely clean facilities and friendly and helpful staff. Small shop with basics that you may need. Some building work in progress for new wash room and toilet facilities but wasn't too noisy. Absolutely beautiful grounds to walk around, flowers and beautiful gardens, woodland walk and access to the coastal path, secure and quiet dedicated dog walking field. Beach was rocky but went on a few nice walks there. Swimming pool available daily but not used as l had my dog with me. Reasonably priced for EHU and sea views. Will definitely be visiting again in the near future!
