A aimé The site was spacious and it was clean. It was good to see the ducks and geese and it was clean.

The residents on the site were very friendly.

N'a pas aimé I would not recommend this site for tent Campers and I would not expect that to be a surprise to the owners. This is a site for fixed caravans, permanent touring caravans and then tourers in caravans and motor homes. For tents and those travelling without electricity there is very poor provision.

The location for tents is pre-determined at the edge of the site and the furthest point from the washing and toilet facilities. This is incredibly awkward at night when a significant walk is needed if the toilet is required.

There is no assistance for light electrical requirement, such as a socket, or even USB point for charging phones or a laptop.

There is no communal fridge/freezer for ice packs to be frozen or small amounts of perishables to be stored.

The sink does provide hot water but it is located outside. Fine in the dry and when warm but not good at other times.

There are few camping tables and none in the space allocated to tents.

I may have missed facilities which were in fact elsewhere. If that is the case then I will put that down to very poor welcome and orientation. At no point did the owners pop over to check if all was ok. It honestly felt as though provision for tents was a complete afterthought and I suspect a little bit inconvenient.

I think that we probably made a mistake in booking this site and maybe should have expected that tent campers were not the priority, this review is intended to help others like ourselves who may not understand the nature of the site. We were the only tent campers on a very large site and this experience will make me do better research in future.

We have lots of customers come with tents but they have electric hook ups.
You did chose a non electric pitch so I am a bit surprised as to why you thought there would be the provision to charge a laptop or phones.
If you had asked in reception we would have gladly popped some perishables in the fridge freezer for you.
Most of our non electric tent campers are cyclists and we have never had any complaints about the pitches nor the 5-8 minute walk to the toilet/shower blocks.
Sorry again that you were disappointed

A aimé Lovely location. Well kept site with good facilities. Showers and toilets always clean and never had to wait for any to be free even in the summer holidays.

N'a pas aimé There were LOTS of ants. Not a fault of the campsite but they were absolutely everywhere on the grass pitches and were coming inside the tent and caravan. I’m not sure if we were maybe pitched on nests.

A aimé Very clean and quiet campsite. We came for the bank holiday and it was fully booked up. But it wasn't over crowded. Lots of space between the 3 over tents that were around us. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The site is about 10 minutes from Lincoln town centre and then around 55 mins from skeggy/sutton on sea. So you are far enough away from the hustle and bussle but close enough that it's just a short journey. We will be coming back again very soon. This time with the fishing rods

N'a pas aimé The site could do with more shower/toilet cubicles. In the morning of us leaving we were stood outside the cubicles for 20 minutes before one became available
