N'a pas aimé I booked a camping space for early March (out of season, weather bad) unfortunately on the day of the visit myself and partner fell ill. I contacted the campsite direct early that A.M. and asked if we could move the booking for two weeks time ?- this was hit with a straight up NO you cant- I believe this to be unreasonable, as noted above, it was the start of March, bad weather and there were 9 spaces available on Pitch up (just for Tent spaces) - if this was the height of spring or summer fair enough - Customer facing business, maybe more flexible with your approach? its a piece of grass not a room at the Dorchester

A aimé Campsite was in a beautiful location. Electric hookup worked throughout.

N'a pas aimé No running water. No ability to flush toilets. No hand washing facilities. I wouldn't mind if it was advertised as not having facilities but it wasn't. I paid a premium for a grass patch and a plug socket. Disappointing. Owner said there's nothing he can do.

A aimé Location is handy for Buxton and Ashbourne, site is flat and easy to find

N'a pas aimé Overpriced considering you have to pay extra for electric hook up and showers

If you had been on correct pitch it would have helped and also electric points are working
You had fire going next to your vehicle very strong wind and heavy rain
Please explain how is that right ?? Had you taken safety into consideration or that was someone else fault as well

My son came in white trainers because we had been out and came straight to you
To point out to you to the pitch that had elec was next pitch you replied. My cable will not reach ??? 6 meters away

A aimé In theory it’s cosy but was not our experience

N'a pas aimé We rented a caravan over a tent because it’s winter and we wanted heating and a nice place to cook however neither of these things worked. Our heaters fan would not blow out any hot air no matter what setting we placed it on so we were forced to remain cold for the time we were there. Out caravan had a crack in the front window so without the heating, it kept getting more and more cold. The shutters did not work either. The water supply to our caravan wasn’t great, we would turn the tap on and no water would come out whatsoever. We were told to fill the bucket from the tap but after doing so, we realised no water would come through the caravan because the water pipe was duct taped to the side of the caravan meaning the water would just leak out. We were unable to use any water so were forced to buy some locally.

The bathrooms were disgusting and were not cleaned whatsoever, there was pile of mud in the shower which isn’t appealing considering we aren’t allowed to use the facilities in the caravan so you’d assume the portables would be cleaned. It put us off showering.

We were told to call an hour before we arrived but received no answer after countless calls and message. Instead we got a call saying our booking was cancelled on the second day of us being there because a caravan has flooded. This wasn’t for us but rather for another customer. It wasn’t planned or organised efficiently.

During the shower (which is only 4 minutes for a pound) the power tripped and everything went off in the campsite. We called to ask for help but got told no one could come to help us and we’d have to wait about 6 hours in the winter night before we got ANY power. I felt mansplained because the owner asked us “have you stayed at a caravan before” when we told him all of our issues. No one came down to even check. the stay was so bad we left a night early and had to cut our trip short. Would defo not stay again. It was poorly organised and the we received no support. For the money we spent, you barely got value. Avoid this place!!!

on 3rd day I spoke to you you admitted you never stayed in caravan you did not know workings of caravan

I can confirm electric lighting heating works hot water in kitchen sink works

Electric did trip on 3rd evening but I was not available I was out of town I came soon as I could
Window has cracked and is taped sealed

Shower block people had gone in with muddy boots
in storm very strong winds going on wet a Soaked fields

Shower block we clean morning and late afternoon

We advertise caravan/tin tent where we have made clear no bathroom and no gas these facilities have been removed permanently due to regular damage to caravans
Issues can only be dealt with if pointed out to us not after leaving

got a fire pit £15 which consisted of an armful load of wet wood thats been kept outside, and a literal handful of kindling like 5 pieces and not even a full firelighting block. if you don't know how to light a fire properly you'd of had no chance.
took over an hour for it to get going by the time it was raining, so a waste of money and time, as i didn't get to enjoy it. and it had to be as far from ur tent as possible.

toilet is a converted shower block so you have a dump and you cant wipe ur own backside with the door shut if you are over 6ft. but luckily it was pitch black, and needed a jet wash and some deodorant in there.

all bins full to the brim.

also says in the description they have peacocks and chickens on site around the farm but was none.

You want fire next to your tent in strong wind not safe not very sensible danger of tent catching fire also heavy rain storm conditions
Bins get emptied also big yellow industrial bin empty if you had looked

A aimé Enjoyed it. Nice little site with everything you need. Showers, toilets etc. Nice pub a couple of miles down the road.

A aimé The site was clean and quiet, great for walking and exploring the local area. Had a lovely walk with the dog past a nice farm shop and to a lovely pub the bulls head. Facilities were cleaned daily and perfect for a weekend break

A aimé Very well located for great walks. No need to move your car or if you do its only a short drive.
Very friendly and helpful host.
Good sized pitches (we only travelled as a couple and had a 3 man tent.
Adequate shower and toilet.

N'a pas aimé This is close to the main road and on a flight path but this is not a negative on the site.
