Irfon Valley Pods and Camping

A aimé Everything! This is such an amazing little find. Run by a very welcoming and lovely couple, it is quirky., peaceful and beautiful, so much handmade and done on the site from rustic wooden washing up and shower blocks (with stain glass windows), a toy cupboard, an 'honesty' shop and toy section, a little museum of nothing in particular which was fascinating, alpacas, sheep, geese and chickens wondering round. Absolutely beautiful site.

A aimé The location, tranquillity, the animals, the staff, the facilities. My friend and I did decide to cut our stay short due to the weather because we had motorcycled in from Portsmouth and we were already damp from the ride up, then the whole evening was wet, then it rained in the night, and just kept on being damp giving us no time to dry out fully. I've given wifi rating a 10 because I've no idea if there was any and couldn't have cared less, it's healthy to disconnect. Will be back next year.

N'a pas aimé The weather, but it's a gamble this time of year, and just one of those things to have to put a wet tent away, Better luck next year.

A aimé Excellent facilities, some of the best toilets and showers I've been to on a campsite. Owner was really friendly. Campsite was quiet and just lovely. Had a great time.

A aimé We live in the med and haven’t camped for 10 years. So the campsite was just what we wanted. Jerry the host was very welcoming. We had forgotten to pack towels and he so kindly lent us some.
The children loved the animals that were around and we loved watching the red kites in the morning.
We would definitely stop there again if ever in the area.

A aimé The setting was beautiful and an ideal set up.
Facilities were clean and ideal for a camping trip.
We said in the pod and it was really comfortable, a lovely size.
All staff were friendly and accommodating.
Lovely place and will definitely go back

Rhian who cleans, also is responsible for the lovely flower beds and planting around the site. She is always pleased that folk comment on the cleanliness, thank you.

A aimé Owners were lovely and accomodating. We left two nights early (no fault of the campsite) and they without asking refunded part of our original payment which I wasn't expecting.
Toilet, shower and washing up facilities were really good for a campsite of that size which is always a positive.
There was also a small "honesty shop" they had on site where you could pick up a few snacks and tea coffee etc. My kids loved this.
Animals and tyre swing were also a hit.
I appreciated the giant wheelbarrows that were available to transport things across the site.
Firepits were available which was handy as well fire wood to purchase.

N'a pas aimé Very little. There was an issue with the electrics in the communal kitchen area so the kettle/microwave didn't work (there was a kettle in the honesty shop though so we managed ok)
Field was slightly smaller than expected but they limit pitches so overall that wasn't an issue, but we didn't play frisbee etc the first night when it was busier due to there being less space than thought.
The location is lovely but there is very little in the area, but that is what some people are after, just take it into account when booking.
It's also close to an army practice range which I hadn't realised. First night was quiet. Second night did have some noise from quite early in the morning.

The electric in the room with the fridge is now sorted. After investigation, a naughty earth wire was found to be the culprit!
Thankfully the Sennybridge training area is quiet most of the time - sorry they decided to play while you were here.

A aimé Location is wonderful with beautiful surroundings. Toilets and showers were very very clean, and the camping area had plenty of space. The team were very friendly and we were even greeted by cockerels wandering around the site when we woke up in the morning.
Would definitely recommend this site if you’re looking for a beautiful, relaxing stay.
