Me gustó Absolutely everything. This is the only pitch we have ever stayed at that seems to be designed for a mobile home/campervan. It has everything you could need, from a roof over ypur pitch for shade which also has solar panels in it to provide your electricity. Your own water point. A large artifical grass area with loads of room for chairs etc. The site is in an old abandoned village which has been very cleverly re built. The views across the lake are amazing. With lovely local walks. Food in the on site resturant/bar is lovely.

No me gustó If I could give this a zero score I would. We arrived at 4.50pm only to find a note on the door of reception stating it would be open again at 5pm. This despite the booking confirmation form which stated that it would be open from 12.30pm to 8.30pm. We waited till just after 5 when we rang the phone number on pitchup. +34662002780. This was unobtainable. I found another number on the note on the door and rang that. Only to speak with a Spanish lady who clearly didn't understand me and I struggle to understand her. Eventually I was told to wait at reception. After waiting for over half an hour I received a text stating that "voy en 20 minutos". I'm afraid that's unacceptable. If this was the service before we'd even booked in we were concerned as to what the rest of the stay would have been like so at 5.44pm I replied stating we had left and to cancel the booking.

Me gustó This was a very short notice booking. But so pleased we found it as friendly and helpful staff. Although English is not a first language communication wasn't a problem. It is situated in a beautiful rural Spanish village. Asses might be a little tight for larger campervan/mobile homes.

No me gustó Washing machine is a little on the small size. Two of the female showers heads could not be hung on the wall due to the brackets being broken - so effectively you had to hold the shower. The slates on the floor outside the shower/toilets are very loose

No me gustó For some reason the site were unable to take card payments from 1/9/26 The pitches are a little cramped with make manoeuvring difficult. Not sure there is much they can do about the following two pints but they are worth noting for other users- The site is close to a noisy road The premises next door has a spot light covering their garden which means if your pitches is on that side you will have bright light until 2.30am

Me gustó Helpful friendly staff, nice facilities that were clean and tidy. The pitches were amongst trees and bushes which gave a lovely county feeling to the place.

Me gustó A beautiful quiet site amid the trees, which was a blessing for us as it was very hot the night we stayed. Helpful friendly staff, good facilities and the croissants are worth booking from reception for breakfast! There were nice grounds in which to walk our dog.

Me gustó An excellent site, helpful staff, nice swimming pool, and in general all the facilities were in tip top condition. The site is right next to the medieval town of Navarrenx with spectacular walks in and around the town and river. There are plenty of places in the town to eat and drink if you don't fancy cooking.

Me gustó Staff were very helpful, and despite the fact that Pitchup states that they only speak French and Spanish, their English is exceptionally good! The restaurant and bar were lovely and had a good menu, beware, it is very popular with the locals so you may need to book in advance if you want to eat. There was a run for our dog, and also some longer walks around the site.

No me gustó There is only one washing machine, which for a site that large is not sufficient in our view.

Me gustó Just about everything, helpful staff, good facilities, in particular the showers are roomy and have plenty of hot water. They were able to provide a sheet of activities from a local dog walk to places to visit all of which were excellent.

No me gustó The only small dislike was that it would have been very tight to get our camper van into the pitch had there been somebody in the pitch opposite, but as there wasn't it was no problem at all.

No me gustó Let me first explain. This campsite was book solely because it was advertised as having an on site restaurant (which serves classic dishes like mussels and chips) and an outdoor swimming pool, and the write up on Pitchup made it sound amazing which for €40 we'd thought was acceptable. We turned up only to find the reception closed however a young girl appeared and asked if I'd received an email that morning notifying me of the closure. We we then issued with a white envelope containing a key fob, security door card and two red wrist bands (apparently for the swimming pool). I was then also informed that the restaurant was closed, no explanation given. I asked where we could go, to which I was given the details of a restaurant: which we later discovered was also closed. On a site map we were shown being allocated pitch, 91. We have a 6m campervan and it just about fitted on the pitch length wise, although we had enough room on either side for chairs etc. On looking at the paperwork in the envelope we noticed on the typed instructions we'd actually been allocated pitch 156. So we thought we'd have a look to see if that was any better. No that had a mobile home on it already. So back to pitch 91. Trying to stay positive we decided to use the pool. It wasn't quite what I would describe as a swimming pool more of a large inflatable paddling pool. The large inflatable ring around the edge occupied most of its footprint, it fitted onto a tennis court with a lot of room to spare (see attached photo). As it was already rather crowded we decided that we didn't fancy it anymore. The security card for the showers wasn't required as all door were wide open. We tried looking on the map for rubbish bins but couldn't find any highlighted, so after both of us had walked around looking we eventually gave up and used a small litter bin near the pool. We've travelled all over Europe and the UK in our campervan and this was definitely a disappointment, massively over priced for what you got. All very disorganised.

One thing genuinely went wrong on our side. You were given two different pitch numbers, which sent you walking across the site twice at the end of a travel day. I have looked into how your pitch was allocated and I am sorry that happened. The restaurant we pointed you towards turned out to be closed as well, which only made a difficult evening longer. On the other points I would like to give a little context, mostly so other travellers know what to expect. Our outdoor pool is exactly as you see it in the photographs on our Pitchup listing. It is a family pool rather than a swimming pool, and we try hard not to present it as more than that. Our restaurant is closed on Thursdays, which was the day you arrived, and I understand how disappointing that is when a meal out is part of the plan. You were right about the menu description, and we have already contacted Pitchup to have the reference to mussels removed. We serve Belgian classics, but mussels have never been on our menu. The waste and recycling points are marked on the site map in the welcome pack, together with your pitch instructions. And because our reception closes in the evening and you arrived after that, the envelope with your key fob, access card and instructions was prepared and waiting for you. You clearly know what good camping looks like after all those miles across Europe, so I am sorry we did not show you our best side. If you are ever back in the Kempen, please get in touch with me directly beforehand and I will make sure your arrival goes very differently. Me gustó It's a very quite location. Very easy to find using the details given on pitchup. We were met by the host when we arrived, who gave us a very informative briefing on everything. Electricity is metered so you only pay for what you use. For us that was approx 2 euros over the 2 nights The showers are very good but there are only 2 of them accessed through the long barn. There is a washing machine _ 5 Euros A coffee machine - 1.50 Euros It's clearly a working progress which when completed will be amazing as it will have more pitches around thw lake. Personally we thought it was good value for money.

Me gustó Check in was brilliant. Got a full site tour from the rear of a buggy. Allowed to pick our own spot. Shower-lots of hot water, and toilets clean.

No me gustó Wish I'd known prior to going to the toilet that I needed to take my own toilet paper. Also when washing up remember your own plug.
