Zip, zip and away

There are more than enough reasons to visit Cornwall and here’s another one – the Cornish-based Eden Project now has England’s longest zip wire.
The SkyWire is 660 metres in length and opened today (July 20), spanning the width of the Eden Project’s 35 acres. Visitors can strap into safety harnesses and fly over the top of the project’s rainforest and biomes at a speed of over 30mph.
Tickets cost £10, or £5 if you’ve already paid for entry to the Eden Project.
If you want to make a weekend of it in Cornwall, we have over 360 Cornish sites to pick from, with 190 within 20 miles of the Eden Project. Just six miles away is Court Farm Caravan and Camping Holidays at St Austell, with electric and non-electric grass pitches available for tents, tourers and motorhomes from £13 per night. Also nearby is Meadow Lakes, with four coarse fishing lakes, wifi, children’s entertainment and pitches from £9 per night.
