Boatside Caravan and Camping

Me gustó Spacious pitches, very friendly and helpful owners. I received a text in the morning with directions. This is our 3rd year staying at Boatside, it is friendly and convenient campsite set in a lovely valley. We just turn, up find a spot, pitch up, relax for a bit and then walk to the Seven Stars for dinner (advisable to book in advance).

Me gustó A fabulously friendly campsite. Lovely to see kids out and about enjoying themselves. Everyone was incredibly friendly, most I spoke to have been coming to the site for ages. We loved it so much we booked another weekend there and then.

No me gustó Nothing with the site, just the people using it not picking up their dog mess on the area near the river. Really disappointing as a fellow dog owner, it really brings bad press for us! Come on people, do better!

Me gustó Absolutely beautiful setting, perfect hosts, unstaffed, well stocked shop with honesty box so available 24/7. Beautifully maintained and stunning, private riverside area.
Honestly one of the best campsites I have stayed at. Perfect location for the Welsh Showground.

Me gustó An amazing location next to the river and nestled in between the hills, surrounded by ewes & lambs. The owner was very friendly and chilled. Place was super tidy, bathrooms always clean. We loved the ability to really have challenging walks up the hill and along the River Wye.
A small site, which was just what we wanted.

No me gustó Only one shower, which wasn't a problem in April. Slightly odd arrangement of electric hook ups, they were in amongst the seasonal pitches, lodges, and static caravans - so we were very close to caravans both sides. One of which was occupied for the weekend.

We appreciate your comments about the shower and the electric hook-up layout. It’s helpful feedback, and we’re glad it didn’t cause an issue during your April visit. As a small family run site, some pitches are closer to seasonal pitches and caravans than others, but we understand this may not suit everyone’s preference.

Me gustó Check-in was smooth. The proprietor, Adam, was super welcoming and friendly, offering suggestions for local walks and pubs. The toilet/shower block was spotless and very clean. There was also areas for pot washing with a microwave and kettle as well. Plenty of space for tent pitches.
