Me gustó Stayed for a long weekend.. the reception was very welcoming and informative.. our pitch was fairly level and overlooking open fields.. which was ideal for walking the dog. And a big bonus Highland Cows to stroke in the paddock at the top of the field.
The toilets and showers were very good.. warm, clean and with hot water.
There is an on site coffee hut and an amazing shop a short walk away in the village..on the Friday evening there is a take away Pizza van at the village hall about 10 mins walk.

No me gustó Not a criticism but we could have done with being closer to the toilets when it’s raining.

Me gustó Fantastic campsite!
Very friendly staff, not a huge amount of pitches so doesn't feel overloaded and all facing the same way towards lovely expansive views.
Near runway for RAF Lossiemouth and as a child of the married quarters, it was so special to see typoons in flight and circulating over campsite, was amazing and brought back memories.
Facilities were 10/10 plenty of toilets and showers to use and very clean and tidy.
Electricity charged separately based on what you use which is a great way to do it and easy to set up too.
Starry nights as I remember from childhood with low light pollution they sparkle!
To top it all off, there are highland cows on site which you can feed from the hay bales and they are super friendly too.
Many walks straight from campsite without having to drive, walked to Hopetoun and Duffus Castle. Both pleasant walks in beautiful areas.
Coffee cabin on site with lovely coffee and freshly pressed apple juice from the estate.

Will definitely return here in the very near future. Do not miss out on this one!

Me gustó Really superb countryside environment with lots of good paths to walk the dog. Will certainly have no hestitation in visiting again and next time for longer.

No me gustó Connecting to electricity via an app was a bit laborious, especially when our charge was only £1.83 over 1 night stay. Could this not be included in the pitch fee? Also extra charge for the dog.

We charge electricity separately so that it is fair for all our campers, as some of our guests choose to stay completely off-grid and don’t use an electric hook-up at all. Including electricity within the pitch fee would mean those guests were effectively paying for a service they don’t use, so we feel a pay-for-what-you-use approach is the fairest option for everyone.

With regard to the dog charge, this helps us cover the additional cleaning, upkeep and maintenance associated with welcoming dogs onto the estate, helping us keep the site in the best possible condition for all of our guests.

Me gustó Beautiful location, very peaceful. Excellent toilet and shower facilities, very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Good location for visiting local attractions and towns. We liked it so much we stayed an extra night.

Me gustó Lovely peaceful site with fabulous views was so lovely to be able to visit the Highland cows. Short drive to Elgin for shops and close to many beaches. Duffus post office within walking distance. Showers and toilets immaculately clean and plenty of them, plus the washing up facilities were great. We also visited the onsite coffee cart. We have been visiting family in Elgin yearly for over 50 years but this was our first time with the caravan so pleased that this campsite is just what we needed.

No me gustó Not really disliked anything but there are a few things that maybe could improve the site. Mirrors are in the toilet cubicles but would also be great in the shower cubicles also would have been nice to have a hair dryer. The road for walking to the showers/toilets had big stones on and a few times I nearly tripped on the stones plus in places it became muddy after it rained. This is a lovely new site and maybe these plans are in the future.

No me gustó the strips of grass between the pitches is to high they should be the same hight as the pitch

The grass bundings between the pitches are intentionally kept slightly higher. They help protect against land degradation and also slow down water run-off between the pitches, particularly during periods of heavy rain.
