A aimé Clean and spacious facilities, but needed mirrors and shelves in suitable places for shaving. Quiet, and village in walking distance. Nice views

N'a pas aimé Hard standing not level, and our ramps didn't completely level us. Saw no proprietor at all, but only stayed one night.

We really appreciate your constructive notes regarding the mirrors and shelving. Your comfort is important to us, and we will look into adding these features in more convenient spots for shaving and grooming.

We are sorry to hear that our hardstanding pitches and your ramps did not quite get you completely level. We want every stay to be perfectly comfortable, so we will review the grading of our pitches to see where improvements can be made.

As we offer a self-check-in process to give our guests maximum privacy and flexibility, we are sorry we missed the chance to greet you in person during your one-night stay. A aimé The welcome and options of walks, visiting the highland cows, and how to use the electric hook up was fantastic. The views and site were lovely! The facilities were fantastic - quite luxurious! The lady in the coffee pod was so knowledgeable of the history of the estate and made us feel so welcome. We had such a lovely stay.

A aimé We stayed in a tent in the walled garden and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We received a warm, helpful welcome on arrival, the facilities were spotless, and the setting was full of birdsong with a lovely sense of being close to nature. We’d be delighted to come back again.

A aimé Lovely grass pitch in the old walled garden of the estate. Ideal as it was sheltered from the wind. Plus the red squirrels bouncing about in the yew trees behind my tent - amazing! Brand new toilet blocks and free hot showers. Free to explore the grounds and even a coffee cart located on site. Received a very warm reception from Ed, who kindly stayed to check me in as I arrived slightly later than expected. Would recommend.

N'a pas aimé Would be nice to have a toilet block in the walled garden for campers , the site was too quiet for me but I guess it was early in the season .

The toilet block is just a couple of minutes' walk from the Walled Garden camping area. While the new road surface is still bedding in, it is built with eco-friendly recycled hardcore that reduces landfill waste, cuts carbon emissions, and naturally absorbs rainwater to prevent flooding. We are confident it will be fully settled by your next visit. On a positive note, our lovely new toilet block is merely a minute's walk from the Walled Garden.
