We apologise that no one was available to welcome you upon your arrival. We always try to have a member of the team available to greet our guests, but as we are a small team, this is not always possible.

A aimé Great new shower and toilet blocks, clean and functioning. Individual sinks in the toilet & shower cubicles were too small to be practical.
Lovely on-site shop selling local produce.

N'a pas aimé Paid an extra £5 for an electric hookup pitch, which we assumed would come with electricity. We had to scan a QR code and then chose an amount to pay for electricity, the starting price being £20. The Wi-fi to do this is pretty sketchy. We stayed for one night and weren’t particularly happy about having to pay an extra £25 for electric.
There was also a lot of night time light from flashing car charging points to a light on every pitch, in use or not.

I would like it point out that the electricity is ‘pay as you go’ so although you have to pre-authorise a min amount(£20). You will only actually be deducted the amount you use after you depart. I’m sorry this may have not been clear. We try to explain this in the arrival info and if you are met in person but sometimes we aren’t available to meet all arrivals. We felt this was the fairest way for guests to only pay for their usage rather than build it into the fixed price. On WiFi, we consciously chose not to provide WiFi on our site (this is advised on our info too). There is 4/5G mobile data available. We appreciate this isn’t for everyone. We shall investigate the lights on the bollards.

A aimé Well laid out patches, with the bonus of sheep and highland cows highland cows a short walk away. Facilities were new and spotless. Would happily stay here again.

A aimé Stayed for a long weekend.. the reception was very welcoming and informative.. our pitch was fairly level and overlooking open fields.. which was ideal for walking the dog. And a big bonus Highland Cows to stroke in the paddock at the top of the field.
The toilets and showers were very good.. warm, clean and with hot water.
There is an on site coffee hut and an amazing shop a short walk away in the village..on the Friday evening there is a take away Pizza van at the village hall about 10 mins walk.

N'a pas aimé Not a criticism but we could have done with being closer to the toilets when it’s raining.

A aimé Fantastic campsite!
Very friendly staff, not a huge amount of pitches so doesn't feel overloaded and all facing the same way towards lovely expansive views.
Near runway for RAF Lossiemouth and as a child of the married quarters, it was so special to see typoons in flight and circulating over campsite, was amazing and brought back memories.
Facilities were 10/10 plenty of toilets and showers to use and very clean and tidy.
Electricity charged separately based on what you use which is a great way to do it and easy to set up too.
Starry nights as I remember from childhood with low light pollution they sparkle!
To top it all off, there are highland cows on site which you can feed from the hay bales and they are super friendly too.
Many walks straight from campsite without having to drive, walked to Hopetoun and Duffus Castle. Both pleasant walks in beautiful areas.
Coffee cabin on site with lovely coffee and freshly pressed apple juice from the estate.

Will definitely return here in the very near future. Do not miss out on this one!

A aimé Really superb countryside environment with lots of good paths to walk the dog. Will certainly have no hestitation in visiting again and next time for longer.

N'a pas aimé Connecting to electricity via an app was a bit laborious, especially when our charge was only £1.83 over 1 night stay. Could this not be included in the pitch fee? Also extra charge for the dog.

We charge electricity separately so that it is fair for all our campers, as some of our guests choose to stay completely off-grid and don’t use an electric hook-up at all. Including electricity within the pitch fee would mean those guests were effectively paying for a service they don’t use, so we feel a pay-for-what-you-use approach is the fairest option for everyone.

With regard to the dog charge, this helps us cover the additional cleaning, upkeep and maintenance associated with welcoming dogs onto the estate, helping us keep the site in the best possible condition for all of our guests.

A aimé Beautiful location, very peaceful. Excellent toilet and shower facilities, very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Good location for visiting local attractions and towns. We liked it so much we stayed an extra night.
