Pillars of Hercules Organic Farm

Me gustó: It was a lovely little quirky campsite with a great organic shop selling everything essential and more. A fresh fruit and veg section selling homegrown products. The toilets were lovely and clean and the shower was hot. We didn’t use the cafe but I’m pretty sure that was as good as the rest of it!

No me gustó: No Elsan point. One would have been very handy after driving round Scotland for a few days.

Me gustó: We liked the quietness of the place and the tranquility of the surroundings. It was lovely hearing the noises of the wildlife at night such as owls and being able to see the stars. It was good having a portaloo near the tent so didn't have a long walk to toilet block in the dark.

No me gustó: Didn't like having a fixed shower for which you had to keep pressing the button to keep it coming on. The shower room and toilet block were a bit of a walk from the tent pitch. Didn't enjoy being woken up at 7:15am because of the portaloo being cleaned. The prices of food in both the cafe and shop were too expensive.

Me gustó: Lovely estate with some beautiful walks. Peaceful

No me gustó: People parking overnight in nearby car park and using the facilties. Why pay when you can do that. Paying customers should have a key for toilets and showers or put a code on the door

Me gustó: Great location, small site but very good and clean facilities. The staff were excellent. We had a tent box and tent and whilst there was a separate pitching areas the owners let us pitch together which was a lovely gesture. All pitches come with a huge fire pit too. Keep an eye out for the red squirrels, loads in the woods. Coffee and cake very tasty. Also worth a walk to Falkland which is about 25 mins away through the forest where we went for dinner. Highly recommend.

Me gustó: Lovely campsite! We stayed in the tent field which had a beautiful view and lots of wildlife to spot. Amenities in the field were great - with a porta loo, campfire spots, and water tap. The farm shop and cafe were fantastic and a lovely thing to have on site for morning coffee. My six year old really enjoyed the playpark and poly-tunnel seating area where we lit a fire in the fire pit one night. Would definitely recommend and will be back!

Me gustó: Quiet, cafe, spotless facilities, beautiful walks, staff are amazing and so friendly.This is our 4th( I think) time staying here in the last 6 weeks! Just in absolute awe of the place it's such a Beautiful relaxing place, staff are great every one of them. This was first time without the family but Will definitely be booking up again soon!. Can't wait already!.

Me gustó: Beautiful view, well pitched out pitches. Everyone camping was pitched carefully and thoughtfully with good distance. We slept really well. Relaxed atmosphere, farm shop was great. All facilities were lovely.

No me gustó: Bring back the veggie breakfast!

Me gustó: What a lovely relaxed campsite, the cafe & shop were great & everyone we met was friendly & helpful. I contacted them before we arrived & had quick, helpful responses. We had glorious weather which helped too! Our original pitch wasn’t level but we were able to move to somewhere that was so it wasn’t an issue at all.

Me gustó: Amazing campsite with a beautiful location, wonderful place for the kids to run about. Fabulous facilities, hot showers and super cafe and shop with delicious cake.

No me gustó: Nothing, everything was amazing.
