Burrowhead Holiday Village

Me gustó: A nice site. All the staff and guests were very friendly and happy to chat. A well stocked shop for all your needs. A nice little Cafe, games room and a well stocked bar, with great entertainment. All facilities are clean along with a laundy. The scenery and walks are well worth the effort.

No me gustó: The indoor pool was being cleaned on a Saturday. If you bring a tent make sure you have some good strong pegs as it gets very windy. WIFI a bit hit and miss.

The scenery and walks we are fortunate to have are a delight to share with our holiday makers. Our headland position does, as you mention, get windy at times, so strong tent pegs are a must. It was unfortunate that the indoor pool required maintenance during your stay. It is normally open on a Saturday. The wifi instillation is currently being upgraded to provide a stronger signal going forward. We do hope that you visit us again in the future.

Me gustó: Views, cafe, lounge bar and people. Easy access to wash blocks, which were clean. Good check out time.

No me gustó: The hand dryers are very dated and do not dry your hands. The wash block is freezing. WiFi was not very good from our pitch.

Me gustó: Location was amazing, facilities were very good. Very quiet.

No me gustó: Toilets/showers a bit of a trek, especially at night if you are at the other end of the site.

Me gustó: The site location was beautiful. Staff was super friendly. Toilets were clean. We didn’t use the pool or other facilities as were only there for a day but loved our stay here. Highly recommended. There were no midges and night sky was beautiful. We saw so many stars, kids were fascinated.

No me gustó: Nothing.

Me gustó: Site was beautifully maintained. Enjoyed having the bar on site. Gorgeous views. Very clean toilet block.

No me gustó: Toilet block was a little walk away. Outdoor swimming pool not heated, very chilly.

Depending on your pitch, the amenitites can be a short walk away, however we trust that the views outway this. It is a shame that we have experienced some very unseasonal weather which has resulted in some fresh swimming pool temperatures. We do hope that you will visit us again in the future, maybe with warmer weather.

Me gustó: Everything, lovely campsite, clean, friendly staff, services onside excellent. Will visit again, a campsite to go to if looking for peaceful surroundings.

Me gustó: The staff could not do enough for you. The reception, bar, shop and groundsman staff all.went above and beyond ***** The park has everything you need, even indoor and outdoor pool. The toilet and shower blocks where kept clean aswel as the site. The local village a few minutes drive away has a few shops and a pub. The views from the site are fantastic even when the great Scottish weather tries to spoil them!

No me gustó: Hit and miss wifi and phone signal down on the motorhome pitches. Up towards the bar/shop area it's fine.

Me gustó: The toilet blocks & laundry room where very clean. Showers where warm & clean. The bar had plenty of drinks to choose from & the beer was kept well. Staff where very helpful throughout the site. The site was very well looked after & grass area's where cut nicely. Although our teenage are to old the play area for the younger children looked well maintained with a very nice barked floor surface.

No me gustó: The site is situated on high ground which when the wind is blowing it's open to the elements. The out door pool is very clean & tidy,but is not heated & boy did we know that once in there.lol The sauna was not working & had a fault.

Me gustó: Staff were all lovely and friendly nothing was a problem, site was clean, Staff were on hand to help us with everything from local fishing spots to local shops.

No me gustó: Not really a dislike but we stayed Monday till Wednesday and the outdoor pool was closed all day Tuesday which I understand was for cleaning
