Moonacre Campsite

Me gustó The campsite was peaceful and quiet, with a secure gate that made me feel safe. I really liked that it wasn’t overcrowded and there was plenty of space around us. The location was also lovely, with beautiful surroundings.

I would definitely recommend this campsite to people who enjoy peace and quiet and prefer a simple, relaxing stay without unnecessary entertainment or attractions.

No me gustó The only downside was the washing-up area, which could definitely be improved.

Me gustó Lovely setting and 24hr access via a code was really helpful. Nice to have a shower and refill water.

No me gustó A bit rickety for the price - camping facilities more like a £15/night site but charging £25. All fine, just a lower quality than I expected for the price. Doors on loo/shower block don't lock well, shower was low pressure and would benefit from an upgrade, handle had been removed from tap next to loo/shower block but with no sign saying where alternative was.

I’m sorry to hear that you felt the facilities didn’t represent good value for your stay.
We do try very hard to keep our camping prices affordable. A £25 pitch leaves us with around £17 after VAT and booking fees, from which we maintain the grounds, have the toilets and showers professionally cleaned every other day and maintain the site's waste facilities.
You are absolutely right about the water pressure. Dorset has experienced extremely dry conditions this summer and, being a rural site, our water supply suffered at times. We are already looking at upgrading our pump system to improve pressure for future guests.
We've also experienced some warping to doors and timber around the site during the recent extreme heat, so the issue with the toilet/shower doors is something we have been address all season.
The tap handle was removed because people would leave the tap running, which burns out the pump motor that feeds that shower block from the main site. There is a small sink and tap on the main field.
As a small independent site, it is disappointing when someone leaves feeling they haven't received good value. We deliberately keep our camping and accommodation prices relatively low.

We had a fantastic stay at Moonacre Campsite! The location is beautiful, peaceful and surrounded by nature. The toilets were exceptionally clean and well maintained, and the shower facilities were also excellent.
The whole campsite is very well looked after and has a lovely, relaxing atmosphere. It’s a great place to get away from the busy everyday life and enjoy some time in nature.
We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Moonacre Campsite. We’ll definitely be coming back! 🏕️🌿
