Me gustó Lots of pitch sites to chose from and all good size. We enjoyed exploring the woods around the camp site. The area for kids to play in is amazing with something for everyone to enjoy, having travelled with 3 kids- 16, 6 and 1 they were never bored. The toilets and area to wash up were always clean. Kids enjoyed helping to build a fire and toasting Marshmallows.

Me gustó Really well set up and lots of variety of pitches and types to chose from. The staff were friendly and the facilities were more than adequate and exactly as specified on the web site. Lots to entertain the kids and they really enjoyed the adventure. Safe and secure and overall a great experience.

Me gustó Our favourite campsite site! Just back from our 3rd year in a row camping at Adventure pirate and still as amazing as the 1st time we went! (If not better) Really is a brilliant campsite for all ages but especially children ❤️we all can’t wait to return next year but hoping to sneak a couple of days in before ❤️❤️❤️

Me gustó Everything! This place is great, wonder around the forest, play in the play park, sit round your fire. We had a great time

No me gustó The trolley broke, all our things fell off lol. Although this was funny it was also quite annoying at the same time.

Me gustó Nice pitches in the woods. Friendly manager. Nice place for kids with many things to do. Wel build and clean compost toilets and hot showers. Close to Jurassic Coast.

No me gustó Campfires are allowed, but without any policy. Not everyone knows how to make a good fire (with dry wood and actual flames) and that makes the entire campsite one big smokehouse in the evenings. This is horrible when you are trying to sleep. Nowhere fire extinguishers.

Me gustó Safe forest area for the children to play, trampolines, swings, climbing, den building, freedom for the children. Additional activities if you want them (we did weapon craft and the kids really enjoyed it). Technology is not king in this forest, back to basics and the simple life reigns supreme. Provided your child has an imagination they will be happy as Larry! The staff were fabulous, especially Becky who is a forest school master and had a special gift with the children. Well deserved 10/10 from us. Plus bell tent was amazing! Thank You! We will be back

Me gustó Everything! Fantastic camp site. Clear plots with flexibility and excitement choosing our own, each with fire pit marked out. Clean toilets, beautiful and simple setting in nature with exciting forest adventure park. Perfect for camping with children.
Really friendly team approachable and easily available.

Prioritise holiday clubs and out sources activities compared to campers on site.

We pride ourselves on offering a wild camping experience — the kind where you get to enjoy nature as it is. So no, we don’t have full-time staff onsite to supervise campers like it’s a luxury resort. What we do have is an on-call campsite manager who cleans the facilities three times a day and is available for any issues (such as other groups playing loud music). If we don’t know there’s a problem at the time, unfortunately, we can’t do much about it after the fact — our time machine is still in beta testing.

As for activities, we always recommend booking in advance. That way, we can make sure staff are available and not just standing around hoping someone fancies an impromptu archery session. We do prioritise our holiday club (which campers get 20% off), as that’s where demand is most consistent — and the kids seem to love it, judging by the giggles and mud-covered faces.

Now, just glancing through the scores you left us…

2/10 for child friendliness – We must admit, this one left us blinking. Our site includes a park, swings, trampolines, an agility trail, mud kitchens, and is fully enclosed — it’s basically a woodland theme park, minus the overpriced candyfloss. Most families rave about how child-friendly it is, so we’re a little baffled here.

2/10 for cleanliness – Our compost toilets are cleaned rigorously three times a day. They’re eco-friendly, not luxury spa bathrooms, but again, most feedback is really positive in this area.

Value for money – You stayed at our site for £13 a night — roughly the price of two warm pints in a gastropub — with access to all our facilities, open space, and nature on your doorstep. We genuinely believe it offers great value, and thankfully, so do the majority of our guests.

We do appreciate all feedback — even the head-scratching kind — and will always look for ways to improve. But we also want to stay true to what we are: a relaxed, back-to-basics site where kids can be wild and grown-ups can switch off.

Me gustó Was a nice and quiet site with pretty good composting toileting facilities. Children loved the play area. Showers (2) were warm and clean enough. One water tap near the showers for drinking water. Washing up facilities include taps with hot water so no need to boil it for washing up.

Despite being in the middle of the summer holidays there were very few people camping and that meant no-one was pitched on top of each other. Sites were closer together than anticipated on the photos, but as noone pitched next door there were decent spaces between. Pitches were separated mainly with bramble bushes leading to a healthy amount of blackberries picked throughout our stay.

It seemed to be a site where people would pitch for a night or two en route to somewhere else, so there was a constant turnover of pitchers. We stayed for just under a week and were sad to leave.

We tended to go off site during the day, so the parties and holiday club members didn't affect us. From what we could tell they stayed in the play area mostly, although by the quantity of nerf bullets littering the site, clearly parties are held wherever there is space, and they're not all picked up afterwards

Slightly disconcerting being able to pitch wherever and not having a check in method, it meant after arrival it took 2 days before I saw anyone official.

Site is in a good location for the New Forest, Moors Valley in particular, beaches and bournmouth. We also enjoyed the nearby indoor waterpark on our slightly wetter day.

No me gustó Would have prefered some form of handwashing facilities by the toilets (even if it were a tank on the roof) Having to use disinfectant and then washing hands using water on pitches wasn't ideal.
