Me gustó: Everything! We stopped for 1 night to break up travel down to new quay from Bournemouth. Excellent host! Toilets and showers were really clean. We had a lovely night testing out our new van! Thank you

No me gustó: I wouldn't say this is a dislike, the road to the campsite was a single lane for a few miles. Did make me nervous in case we come to pass someone, luckily we didn't but I can imagine reversing would be nerve wrecking!

Me gustó: Stunning location, great communal fire pit, friendly helpful service, compost loo kept very clean. Nice hot shower.

No me gustó: Should be for 4w drive vehicles only

Me gustó: Absolutely loved this site. Tranquil location, very accessible to the moors , forest and river. Very clean compost toilet and good shower.
Mark and Karen,the owners are so delighrful, welcoming and knowledgeable of the area. Very welcoming to my collie too. She like me didn't want to leave. !

Me gustó: I can't fault this campsite clean compost toilets and showers the owners are very helpful giving you a map of the woods and area peaceful and remote campsite especially if you like walking

Me gustó: Friendly couple, made me and my 7 year old son feel extremely welcome on New Year’s Eve, had made us up a fire and had we’re extremely helpful and welcoming.

Me gustó: Awesome location, amazing view of the sky at night with hardly any light pollution. Friendly and welcoming owner. Really nice walk nearby. Nothing to complain about

Me gustó: Absolutely brilliant stay at Gidleigh Wood, fab location for exploring the moor and easy access to Chagford on foot and bike. Mark and Karen were very friendly and generous hosts always available to help with any queries. It was our first time camping in our new campervan, so we were very much ‘all the gear and no idea’ but our camping trip here has given us so much more confidence, thanks to Mark and Karen and the perfect small but beautiful site. So lovely to be off grid, the facilities were clean, compost loo better than expected (no smells) and the giant fire pit in the woods magical. Thank you.

No me gustó: The only slight downside was the slope, which we knew in advance. There are some places you can get level though, especially if you have levellers.

Me gustó: Very friendly welcome! Great plot with lots of good walks/hikes from the site - owners were extremely helpful, giving us a map to help us follow the route. Massive fire pit they light each afternoon/evening bringing people together!
