Me gustó Loved the shop, had little things we needed. Check in process was so easy! Liked you could choose where to pitch up.
Loved that they had a bar and pizza van on Sunday night (bank holiday) with a singer! Made such a lovely evening!

No me gustó Toilets and showers could be slightly better but loved that they had port a loos dotted around the airfield so you didn’t have to walk really far for a wee

Me gustó Fabulous stay , weather was beautiful,the campsite was clean and tidy. Our pitches where very spacious(no set lines) ,staff on duty regularly checked loos and showers to keep them clean(disinfecting them),
Enjoyed watching the neighbours playing football and catch in the middle area as the sun set .we took our motorhome and a tent for our teenages , the ground was very hard (definitely need rock pegs) for tent but is understandable as was very dry when we went ,, I recommend this place for all the family ages ;-) was very peaceful, close to sidmouth,Lyme Regis,beer

No me gustó The 4-5 portaloos on the left side of airfield where getting a abit pongy due to the hot weather ,, the smell drifted up the field ,, I think afew people must of smelt them too ,,
Luckily we chose to park further up the field where we couldn’t smell them ,, but other than that everything else was great

We are afraid you may have smelling a local farmer spreading slurry and not the portaloos as they smell was also down on the lower site as well.
We look forward to seeing you again, if you come on any other date than a bank holiday you will not be up the runway with portaloos but in the main site

Me gustó Everything there was not a bad thing to say. Tracy and Chris were very helpful and very clean and tidy site.

Me gustó There were several things I liked about the campsite.
Tracy was friendly and welcoming and we pitched up on the airstrip.
The facilities were clean and the shower had plenty of hot water.
There were lots of portaloos around the site as well as the main toilet block, which was really handy.
On the Sunday, there was a pop-up bar and a musician, which added a bit of excitement, as well as the pizza bar.
The dog paddock was great for my dogs to run around in too.
The coast was less than 15 mins drive and there were hiking paths with stunning views.

No me gustó Pitching up on the airstrip proved difficult for standard tent pegs. On the website it said 'Strong rock pegs are advised after spells of dry weather'. The airstrip itself was some sort of clay with grass over the top. This made it difficult for standard pegs but luckily a fellow camper gave us a good tip. Slant the standard tent peg quite a bit to get the pegs in. Hammering down the windbreaker was a bit tricky too because of the clay but we only just managed.
One other thing, a drone was flying around the site, up and down the airstrip. I asked one of the 'patrol' staff member about it and he told me that the owner had given permission. It was for taking photos of the site. This made us feel uncomfortable as the drone flew over us several times.

Me gustó The welcome was great and the information issued was also very useful. the pitch sizes are great and the facilities always clean and usable. The pop-up bar and pizza on Sunday were very enjoyable as was the sing along. The dog walking area was definitely a good idea

No me gustó Can't say there was anything that I could list as a dislike.

Me gustó Just back from an amazing weekend stay at Brancombe, we travelled a few hours to get there we arrived early and asked if we could check in early we were told we could which was a great help to us, we were greeted at reception with a lovely welcome.
We chose a lovely pitch, plenty of space there were plenty of toilets situated around the site, lovely hot showers that were cleaned regularly. The dog paddock was huge a great space for our dog to run around. The pizza van was a great added extra, couldn’t have asked for anything more, would highly recommend!

Amenities looked great but didn’t use them
Shop had lots of basics and camping items if you forgot anything plus toys for the kids
Location was great to get to the beaches nearby

No me gustó Would’ve been ideal to be pre warned about the single track road which leads to the campsite. Was hairy at times!

Me gustó Great fun watching the planes take off. Tracey was lovely and welcoming. Good games room for the kids. Good location between sidmouth and beer.

No me gustó Chris was pretty unkind to my kids, I went with them to check for myself at one point when they asked for change to spend on the pool table, he didn't say a word to them, really unwelcoming sadly. My son put his bike in the games room (our fault as we drill it into him to leave it safe) bearing in mind this games room was a little rough around the edges, a worker came in and instead of asking him nicely to put it outside he asked him if he thought it was clever bringing it into the room, very passive aggressive and just not nice. There are also not enough facilities on this site, only 4 unisex showers, 1 male and 1 female with 2 or 3 toilets. Very dirty at times. Although we were there bank holiday weekend when they opened the airstrip for extra campers. The approach to this site is very tight, make sure you research which way to come because if you're in a motorhome or with a caravan and you take the wrong route in you are in serious trouble.

We need to however point out there are more toilets and showers than you mention in your review, as for the approach into us, the bus and larger motorhomes get into us with no issues
