Prattshayes Campsite

Me gustó: Excellent, extremely well maintained site with superb facilities including a large grass pitch, brand new shower and toilet block and a small bar area - as well as friendly staff. Definitely the best independent site that we have stayed on in over 10 years of motorhoming. Thank you to all the staff there.

No me gustó: There’s nothing to dislike about this site.

Me gustó: Pleasant rural campsite on edge of Exmouth, 15-20 min walking distance. The access lane is narrow and by vehicle the site is best approached from the Littleham end. The site has good sized pitch sizes, some separated by hedging. The toilet block was Individual 'cabins/ rooms' which has their own shower, toilet, etc.. The site and toilets were kept clean. There are washing up facilities too, though we didn’t use.. The site was peaceful and had some resident guinea fowl who made a daily circuit of the site.

No me gustó: One irritation was the lack of a grey water point… our motorhome has limited waste water capacity. No wifi.... but there is a good phone signal.

Me gustó: So friendly! The little bar and shop was perfect for a quiet sunny evening. The toilet and shower block was immaculate too!

Me gustó: Good sized pitches! Improvements to the site have been made inc large shower block, with individual units, all heated! Plenty of hot water (even when the new shower block hit problems, the old one was available). Owner is lovely and staff on site happy to help - worth confirming your booking if through pitch up as friends of ours had problems with their booking.

No me gustó: The weather has been atrocious recently and the site (like many others I'm sure) was quite spongey and waterlogged. Could do with a few more footpaths around the site and a mat to wipe your feet before entering loos/showers to reduce the inevitable grass and muck indoors. Shop could do with a bit more stock!

Me gustó: Great communication, easy to find and lovely views. Easy walk to the gorgeous beach in about 15 minutes. We did get woken by construction noise from a site in the valley but I guess they won’t be there forever! We’ll be back.

Me gustó: Close to exmouth only took us about 15 minutes to walk there. Site is having work done at the moment which didn’t bother us good they are working hard to update and I’m sure it will be great when complete. Was lovely and quiet everything we needed for a quick stop over . Good communication with hosts. We will be back again

Me gustó: We've been before and enjoyed a quiet place where we can walk to exmouth beach in about a mile, great for dogs.

Me gustó: Decent good size pitches, well marked out . A pub at the top of the road , didn't visit as walked down to the beach within 20/ 25 minutes down the lane. Current facilities clean and showers hot. They are in the process of building a new shower block . I'm sure it will look great when completed. I believe their is a bar onsite but closed will have to check it out on my return.
