Owl Valley Glamping

Me gustó Chris, the owner, was lovely and nothing was too much. He meets you at the car park on arrival to take your bags for you. We felt extremely welcomed by Chris.

We had the most wonderful time, we stayed in the bell tent, our first experience, and it was wonderful. We had a fire pit with plenty of wood available, we used this as it started to go dark and we made s’mores. We had a barbecue with coals provided which we used for our burgers in the evening. There was a kitchen that was fully equipped with every utensil you could possibly need.
The bed was very comfortable and we both had a really great sleep.
We also used the single futons to put outside to stargaze.

No wifi and signal limited - however this is exactly what we wanted as we wanted to remove technology from our lives for 24 hours.
We are excited to return in the future!

No me gustó The only thing we didn’t like was hearing other people - however that was down to them being quite loud during the evening, but they were far enough away for us to still have our privacy.

Me gustó Everything! Just top! This place is a gem in the middle of the forest… facilities are amazing. So close to the sea and town. Many thanks to Chris

Me gustó Absolutely loved the “off the beaten track” with no phone signal nor WIFI we could emerse ourselves into the full experience. The host as well as the lodge and wood fired hot tub were lovely and cosy, I couldnt believe how effiecient those wood fired hottubs are. Absolutely boiling in a matter of hours. The assistanc eon arrival with our belongings arriving at the lodge was a nice touch, every you need to get away from the rat race of a town or city. Highly recommended!!

No me gustó If you suffer from bugs being attracted to your skin and blood then do take a strong bug repellent to deter them from having an all you can eat buffet.

Me gustó Everything. So quiet and peaceful. But only 10 mins from shops.
Host was so welcoming and couldn't do enough for you.

Me gustó We had a wonderful stay here, loved the peace and really appreciated the communication from Chris before arrival and meeting us when we arrived....so welcoming. A beautiful spot :)

Me gustó Travelled as a family of 5 with kids age ranging from 16 to 3 we all loved escaping from the world for a few days listening to the birds and the stream playing in Steve's shack and having lovely hot tubs.not to forget bbqs and roasting marshmallows in the firepit Everything has been thought of and I am already looking forward to returning at some point! We could get 5g at one end of the valley but one of the things I liked the most was not being able to get it and properly escaping!

Me gustó What a fabulous relaxing couple of days we had, everything you needed to hand, the hot tub was fantastic . It was so peaceful, just the birds and the trickling of the little river just below the cabin.

Me gustó We had a wonderful stay at Owl Valley in their bell tent 'Short Eared'. The tent came with everything you could need, our own outside kitchen, fire pit, picnic table
and compost loo n shower.
The owners had decorated the area as it was my sons birthday whilst we were there. So very generous.
The lift of our stuff from the car park to the tent was very much appreciated!

We loved the quiet private nature reserve by a babbling stream but only a short drive to Bideford, shops and beach.

The kids loved the rope swing by the stream.

Steves shack had lots to entertain guests from a pool table to a piano to books n games. The honesty shop had many things if you run low.

No me gustó Very hard to find anything we disliked as its such a lovely place.

Obviously you dont have mobile signal/WiFi which is great for peace n quiet. If you need to contact owner you need to be offsite where you get a signal. We ran low on sawdust but when we messaged he was very quickly filled up for us - thank you!

Also very minor the tent instructions mentioned a freezer in the honesty shop. Tried to find it but actually didn't need to as the owner very kindly changed the freezer packs every day in the provided cool box. Thank you!
