Acampada apartada en South Downs con excelentes instalaciones (cocina, duchas, baños limpios). Ideal para senderismo, con anfitriones amables. Estancia pacífica y valorada. Algunos notaron el acceso con equipaje pesado y poca cobertura, pero muchos desean volver.

No me gustó I came well prepared with a battery pack to charge my phone. It would be a welcome addition to have access to USB charging points. Everything else was great.

Me gustó How wonderfully remote it feels. Gumber Farm is beautifully situated for anyone who wants to get away from it all for a few days. Bring the supplies you need and relax. The site has all the essential elements you need for your stay - well stocked kitchen facilities, an excellent shower block and a great fire pit whilst adding nothing to distract from your beautiful surroundings. Jez and Cherry do a great job looking after the place and are always really helpful. Love it here and will come back and back.

Del administrador: Good Evening, it is very clear from our listing in here that there is no vehicle access to the campsite and that the nearest car parks are 1.5mile hike in. As tenants of the National Trust this is a condition of our tenancy that has been in place for the last thirty years I believe. You also should have received a text message to make sure you were aware there’s no vehicle access as some people fail to read it in the listing. As listing….There is no vehicular access to the site whatsoever for visitors and so is only accessible on foot or cycle. Which makes Gumber Bothy the perfect tranquil place to escape to. The nearest you can park is approximately 1.5miles away, either at Bignor Hill car park (SU974129) or Northwood Junction (SU959098) where the tarmac road runs out.

If you had called me or caught either of the wardens on site I’m sure we could have assisted with your kit in some way. Instead you chose not to get in touch and rate a 1/10 review on here. Gumber is predominantly used by those on foot, cycle or horse back and most guests love its remoteness. Should you wish is discuss further please get in touch tomorrow. You have my details. Me gustó Beautiful little site which we had completely to ourselves! The facilities were amazing with a very well equipped kitchen, lounge type area, drying room, BBQ and eating area. Whilst sitting eating our dinner at the latter we saw two creatures running down the hill that we think were badgers!
The walking around the area was great with some stunning views, love that no cars can get to the site.

Me gustó I loved it so much, the farm and the location is lovely, kitchen, shower and toilets are clean, I had long walks in the woods while I stayed, I felt like home. The owners are very friendly. Definitely I’ll come back soon.

Me gustó The farm has sheep & baby lambs. Very relaxed & peaceful area on the south downs hike trail. Has a full kitchen & hot showers & plenty of toilets. I found the people who lived there very friendly & accommodating.
