Me gustó: Beautiful quiet campsite, very peaceful. Clean and tidy. Jason is very friendly. Would definitely stay again!

No me gustó: A little pricey for what is on offer. Washing up facilities could be better.

Me gustó: Very friendly host (Jason), and a great campsite. Clean toilets and shower, and huge field so we never felt close to any other guests.

Me gustó: Wonderful, picturesque surroundings. Great woodland setting. Facilities are brilliant and eco-friendly. Easily within reach of South Coast, Petersfield, Winchester and Guildford

No me gustó: It was cold but can’t hold the campsite responsible for that

Me gustó: Peaceful field next to horse enclosures. Nice walks around the farm for the dog. Basic off grid facilities, but clean and presentable. Didn’t see anyone from the farm so left alone. Allowed a campfire. Field level enough if you stay a couple of meters in from the fence line. We didn’t bother with levellers. Very little phone coverage so no Spotify but nice to be away from tech.

No me gustó: Little pricey for one night off grid as had to join a club, but as it was our first outing in the camper on the last weekend of the Easter holidays we were grateful to get somewhere last minute that was a lovely setting.

Me gustó: This site was both beautiful and secluded. Lots of wildlife, clean facilities and friendly staff.

Me gustó: Nice area, lots of things to do locally. Ground was dry (finally!) and the site was not too busy so we had plenty of space.

No me gustó: Road to get onto the pitches was very very bumpy and narrow. Facilities were not good - the shower was dirty and unusable. We were also told there was water but couldn’t find it. Owner was not to be found.

Me gustó: Jason, the owner, is friendly, and was on site most of the time. He asked us to pitch near the facilities, as most of The Meadow has been boggy for a few weeks. The Meadow is slightly sloping, but some areas are fairly level. The site is very spacious site with plenty of space between other pitches. It is very clean and tidy. The site is sometimes peaceful. There are nice views across the valley, and you can sit and watch the wildlife come and go. The facilities (Portaloos) are frequently cleaned. The composting toilets were not in use, so can't comment about them. The shower looks uninviting, but it works well. There is a nice pub nearby (The Fox).

No me gustó: Sadly, on two evenings, there was a generator running until well into the evening, which disturbed the peace & quiet. There is nothing mains-powered on the site, so don't know why the generator needs to run for so long. There isn't really any running water on site. There is a water container in The Clearing for campers to take water from. It would be useful to have a proper tap in The Meadow. We went out and bought some 5 litre containers of water. We would advise you to bring your own drinking water, if you can. The Portaloos ran out of handwashing water on Sunday morning. As the owner states in the welcome message: 'Definitely not for everyone.' It's a lovely site, but be prepared for basic facilities.

Me gustó: Lovely quiet campsite connected to a bluebell wood and overlooking the country side. Amenities were basic but clean.

Me gustó: Lovely site, in the field we were in there was a picnic bench for each pitch. Nice ad quiet.

No me gustó: Shame we weren't forewarned to take wellies, owner said they had cancelled the previous 3 nights for people due to ground conditions but they hadn't offered this to us despite the weather having continued to be awful, given the option we could have changed dates, lack of this meant we could not park in the field we were in meaning traipsing of kit through very wet muddy ground and having to pack up and abandon the last night.

Del administrador: Thanks for your comments and for still coming during quite a wet challenging Easter... managing the site during difficult conditions is an ever increasing challenge on the site as its never been son wet for such a long time...Hopefully it didn't dampen your enjoyment of the site and really hope to choose to come again in drier conditions...(but still bring the wellies, just in case :) J

Me gustó: Jason, the site manger, is a genuinely lovely host and was one of the highlights of my stay. The site was clear of litter and unnecessary buildings. The tent pitches are far away from each other that it feels quite secluded. In the spring/summer months, i have no doubt it will be a lushly green area. Lots of trails and pubs in the local area if you enjoy a good walk. A composting toilet, a simple heated shower and a sink with a water store; all the facilities you need.

No me gustó: The parking area for cars could be a little more accessible and there could be some clearer signage to the site from the main road, although the “what3words” were very helpful in getting there, as was the site manager.
