If you’re looking for a peaceful adults-only location for a Lancashire touring break close to one of the most famous seaside resorts in the UK, then Norcross may be the very spot for you. Approached by a rural lane, the site is just 20 minutes’ drive from the bright lights and mega-attractions of Blackpool and on the bus route for the village of Newton with Scales, where there's a basic shop, off-licence and post office. In fact, Norcross is close to lots of places: you can be ordering a pint in the local pub within five minutes’ walk, or carry on to Newton with Scales (10 minutes’ walk). Hop in the car and head to the market town of Kirkham (five minutes’ drive) to pick up bits and bobs in the supermarket or bag a takeaway, while a 20-minute drive will see you in Lytham St Annes for beach walks, a Victorian pier and playing golf on a prestigious links course. Amenities on site are straightforward: a couple of loos and recycling facilities, but you can buy seasonal fruit or veg and plants from the owners’ farm shop and nursery – they also run a smallholding with sheep.

  • The maximum tent size allowed is 2.1m x 3.8m x 1.4m height. Electricity is metered on site at £0.30 per kWh and must be paid at check-out. The hardstanding pitches have no access to any shower facilities.

Me gustó Really tidy site. Good number of pitches, toilets clean.

For the price the facilities are really good and not disappointed with stay. If I was back in this area would definitely go back.

There was a really nice pub nearby, food good and the staff were friendly.

Friendly service and really helpful.

No me gustó We took wrong turn as thought where the site was, was a garden centre. Sign could be bit bigger as went down a dirt track road as missed the sign. However once we saw where we went wrong it is easy to get to. Could maybe do like a pin drop on app to take directly to site.

Me gustó Fantastic and tranquil site. Andrew the owner was very helpful and accommodating. Great hardstanding, gravel pitch. Spacious and level. Lots of wildlife, horses, sheep, ducks.
EHU and fresh water available right at your pitch, although we didn’t need to them. Unisex toilets and shower available on site. Make sure to visit Annie’s egg shed for fresh fruit veg and eggs. And there’s also a great garden centre on site worth visiting. The site also sells Calor gas which worked out great timing for us. Close to fantastic for places and the coast, we went to Lytham.

No me gustó We would’ve loved to have stayed longer but unfortunately we had other commitments

Me gustó Everything about this site. So quiet. Lovely surroundings. Toilets and outdoor shower were immaculately clean. Within 10 mins walking distance to a pub that serves food.

Me gustó The pitch and a small site was extremely large and with water, electricity and drainage , pitches well kept, it has a very damp garden centre with a honesty shed with fruit veg and eggs
You pay electricity extra and it was great we stayed 2 nights on hard standing and it was 21 a night with electricity extra which was £3.50 for the 2 nights which was fabulous, you are about 20 minutes from Blackpool etc so great location
Owner was great
Facilities, there is toilets and outside shower , very clean and tidy

If you are self sufficient this site will suit you

Me gustó Everything about this site. From the lovely friendly owner Andrew to the big level fully serviced pitches. i used our shower but my husband liked the outside shower and said the facilities were really clean too.
I like the fact that the price was so much cheaper than most of the others sites that I looked at and that we've been to before. Electric is an added option that you pay for at the end of your visit. £5.10 for 3 nights 🙂

Me gustó Very peaceful stay , plenty of fun watching the spring lambs owners very helpful and nice nursery and farm shop. Easy to find and close to lytham st annes and pub . Shops a stones throw away. Nice big pitches clean toilets and hot shower.

Blackpool (20 minutes’ drive) is the main event here, and the family attractions come thick and fast: daredevil rollercoaster rides and spectacular musicals at the Pleasure Beach, snorkelling with sharks at Sea Life Blackpool, and encounters with royalty at Madame Tussauds. That’s just for starters though; don’t neglect the 4D movies and panoramic views from the Blackpool Tower Eye or miss the chance to see rare Bornean orangutans at Blackpool Zoo. Children keen to see more wildlife? Try flying displays by protected raptors at the Owl and Bird Of Prey Sanctuary (20 minutes) or introduce younger kids to the friendly alpacas and ponies at Farmer Parrs Animal World (half an hour). If you prefer to be out in the fresh country air, active families can have a rip-roaring run around on the inflatables at Blackpool Wake Park (15 minutes). Easy access to Junction 3 of the M55 (10 minutes’ drive) makes it a complete doddle to reach the walking and cycling routes of the southern Lake District National Park (55 minutes) or the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (40 minutes).
