Me gustó: Lovely setting, friendly host, clean toilets. Easy access for trips to Lake District & Yorkshire Dales. Didn't stay long enough to try the showers, but they looked clean too! Several families staying whilst we visited. Great price.

Me gustó: Excellent camping site, great pitch, hot running water for showers which where very clean, not over crowded, loved the green space and hammocks. Very good stay!

No me gustó: The car park to the site is down a steep hill so transporting camping equipment back to the car with 2 x small kids is difficult. No shops nearby.

Del administrador: Thank you for your great review, so glad you loved the space, its always good to see children running and paddling in the Beck, sorry the weather wasn't a little more kind to you all. We must have missed helping you with your equipment back to the car, sorry, we usually use the gaitor or ATV and children often talk about the transfer to the pitch as one of their favorite parts of the holiday. Shops are not within walking distance, but Kirkby Lonsdale a picturesque market town is just under a ten minute drive away, they have a supermarket, fabulous butcher and lots of independent retailers, added to the the famous Ruskins view which can be seen from the churchyard and river walk this makes it a popular destination for so many of our visitors. We would love to see you return some time in the future. Thank you once again.

Me gustó: Beautiful site , peaceful, clean and such gracious hosts. Shirley and her husband were on hand with anything we needed including an ice pack for my daughter and a much appreciated change of tire when we woke up to find a flat tyre this morning (just as we were leaving!) Highlights include: - beautiful river/ beck with their friendly cows greeting us in the morning - hot shower and composte toilet that was always emptied and clean (we stayed in the bell tent so this was private) - ANYTHING we could have needed for camping from cooking equipment to kids books and toys to the fluffiest blankets to keep warm at night - the best views and stars at night which were the perfect accompaniment to the fire pit Overall 10/10 and we hope to come back again! Location is also perfect for exploring the Lake District. We were glad to stay out of the busy Windermere area but were close enough to get there and the surrounding area with ease. Thank you so much for everything :)

Me gustó: Everything! Staying at Puddlemire took us back to fond childhood memories of exploration, innocence and fantastic fun. The babbling beck, the hammocks, the stage, the safe space to roam and the freedom were fantastic. Having only a few other campers kept it quiet, gave plenty of space but enough for the kids to make friends to play and for the adults to share a drink and experiences of exploring the area. The compost toilets were no bother, the showers hot and the firepit overlooking the stream was just amazing.

Me gustó: Gorgeous location. Facilities clean. Plenty of space for pitches. Fire pit! Parking is offsite but they help get stuff to the pitch in a utility vehicle so it’s ok. Lovely walk up to the top of the hill! Easy access to the stream for a paddle.

No me gustó: Facilities are very basic (we had private), to be expected on this type of site but they were very clean and well maintained so worked fine. After a lot of rain the stream was pretty fast so just need to watch young children.

Weather wise, you were so unlucky,with torrential rain the majority of the time you stayed with us, even so you would visit again. We hope you can call again soon, Thank you for visiting.

Me gustó: What a lovely peaceful and quiet campsite Puddlemire is! And such friendly helpful owners (we owe you a light and will bring when we return thank you and sorry!) There is loads of space between tent pitches allowing the kids to play ball/frisbee, hide and seek safely and without dogs too! The toilets, showers and washing up space is always clean, (think the fairies pop down at night!) There is a very steep hill from the car down to the pitch but the owners help you down and back with all your stuff in the buggy/jeep, kids loved it! Hoping for better weather next time for more time in the river.

Me gustó: A beautiful setting which made us feel very in touch with nature. We loved having a field of cows to talk to.
