Me gustó The views at this site are stunning, Ann and Neil were lovely and went out of their way to help when I mistakenly booked the Shepherds hut not realising no power points to charge medical equipment. The local pub was a 5 minute walk and serves a great steak pie. I would recommend a stay here as a perfect base to explore the surrounding area.

Me gustó Every thing it was so beautiful quaint and quiet went for our 46 wedding anniversary it couldn't have been better

Me gustó We stayed in a glamping pod which was very reasonably priced for what we got. It was spacious & the bed was good. Although it was really warm when we got there, opening the windows soon made a difference and we were not struggling in the night (it was 26 during the day)

Facilities are to be expected, clean water, ok showers, and 2 wash up areas.

Ann and Neil couldn’t be nicer, and fresh eggs are available from the farmhouse at a very reasonable price

2 minutes walk from the White Hart pub!

Me gustó We stayed in a pod- really well maintained. Site itself also well maintained and picture perfect! Location was fab and we enjoyed so much we added an extra night! Staff all so friendly and great with our little ones!

Good showers

No me gustó We stayed at the gypsy Bow top, originally booked 2 nights and last minute added a 3rd night. Unfortunately met 2 not sober women who said they have a caravan on site and like to “go for a night out” in the gypsy Bow top. Not what you want to hear when you’ve come for a quiet weekend away. We asked to cancel our final night and expected some sort refund or partial refund as this was an extra night but were told we could not get our money back and the only option is to return and stay another 2 nights. Where is the good will now a days? Hopefully you will spend our £70 on some improvements on the caravan, a bare minimum would be working fairy lights and maybe a tarp so it is possible to cook when it is raining?

May we just point out, when your partner spoke with us, advising us that you had decided to leave a day early because of the weather conditions - he asked us if it was possible to rebook the missing night in the future,

As a gesture of goodwill, we accepted this, but under the conditions that we do only accept a minimum of two night stay,

Your partner was happy with this and we were awaiting your new dates, we even suggested you could try our different accommodation’s,

As you can see on the terms and conditions, that no refund or discount is offered due to cancellation because of inclement weather conditions,

I think you will find that most campsite throughout the country are the same,

We didn’t offer you a refund but I think you will find we were must fair and offered you above and beyond would many others wouldn’t,

We find it most unfair for you to leave us a review like you have,

Me gustó Nice, quiet area with clean facilities and plenty of space for children. We travelled as a family of 4 with two older children and we all enjoyed our stay. The South Lakes attraction like the Aquarium, Steam Railway, Boat pier, Fell Foot, etc are within a 10 minutes drive. The wooden huts are pretty and well maintained.

No me gustó Some of us found sleeping on the bench beds quite uncomfortable but other members of the party have had no problems with it. It may suit smaller children more. Everything was as described, we knew about it beforehand, so no complaints.
