Strudda Bank Pod Paddock

Me gustó The farm is lovely, set back with a really calm feel. Well kept and lovely little childrens play area. We have a large family but we just travelled with our baby thats 4 months old this time. There are goats and emus and chickens to show the children. Each glamping pod is equipped with everything you need and the shower is great! Nice seating and decking area and a BBQ and firepit situated just to the side on the grass. The host came to say hello & check in with us. They are incredibly welcoming and it felt very family led. A note for anyone attending the water from the tap is fresh from the springs and filtered down a filtration system. Due to this the tap water toilet flush etc is a strange colour, a little orange looking. No need to be alarmed it is safe to drink, and if you dont feel like you can, they can provide bottled water! We were happy to drink it as it's very fresh and we are very water conscious people. We ate at the Salt fish and chip shop the night we arrived which is about a 15 minute drive to the coast with a Co-op on the way. Nearest Morrissons is about a 45 minute drive. Highly reccomend visiting the waterfalls in the Lakes. We loved Aira force at the National Trust we did that on the way to this site via Ullswater.

Everything is extremely clean.
Comfy double bed.
Great kids bunk beds.
Enough plugs for technology people.
Beautiful views.

No me gustó How long it took to fathom out the induction hob in the glaming pod. Step by step written Instructions would be helpful in a welcome pack maybe in the pods. We had to watch a YouTube video after trying for 30 minutes. Breakfast wasn't exactly romantic by the time we had figured it out 😆

Me gustó Liked the animals and privacy. The hang out place with the pool table was a nice touch.

No me gustó The bunk beds and sofa bed is no good for older children. I have a younger kid and older kid who was too tall. Probably should put the height suitability on the descriptors for those beds rather than age.

First night was wonderful as weather was fantastic, but not great when you get torrential downpours as the place is so weather dependent to get the best out the cabins.

Me gustó The pods at Strudda Bank are 5*, super cosy and clean with plenty of room and exactly what you need for your stay. The hosts were fantastic, giving us an insight to life on the farm. The children loved helping with the animals.

Me gustó Great stay, pods are clean, cosy and had everything you need. The owners are very friendly made us feel very welcome. Made it a very enjoyable stay, getting the kids involved with the feeding of the animals which they loved. Would definitely recommend.

Me gustó Great accommodation, everything you need and lots of nice little extras. Great for kids with goats, chickens and emus on the doorstep and nice little play area. Owners were friendly and really helpful coming out at night in the rain with clean bedding when our daughter was sick.
Location is also perfect peaceful, stunning views and close to the beach. Can't recommend enough.

Me gustó Fabulous clean pod with everything we needed. The views were amazing day and night! Farmer Kev was very welcoming and informative on the little tour of his farm animals and really enjoyed sharing his knowledge. The amount of bird song was abundant and watching the animals from the pod with their young was lovely, especially the goats. Fire pit looked great and wood was already at the pod, but we were too shattered to stay up and light it!
The beach at Seascale was lovely with a great cafe, chippy, ice creams etc and a clean sand a land sea for paddling.
We will definitely return with the grandkids.
Oh and the fresh eggs are delicious!

Me gustó Stayed here several times. Love this place, our 5 year old loved the new goats, and collecting eggs for our breakfast. Great location for Wastwater, Ennerdale, Whitehaven etc

Me gustó The location-close to lots of places in the Lake District.
Peaceful and quiet
We loved helping on the farm and collecting eggs for breakfast.
Friendly and accommodating owners, it's a family run site.
Lovely accomodation-clean, warm, comfy and everything you need, the kids loves the bunk beds and shower was nice.

Me gustó Absolutely fantastic place to stay. Even though we didn't have the weather on our side, it really didn't make any difference. The hut was warm and clean. And the views are amazing. We are 100% going back. I'd imagine it's even better in the summer. If you want a chill time. Or a good base to explore, this is the place for you!!
