Wildscapes Retreat and Campsite

Me gustó What a great little find! Relaxed vibe to the place, just pitch where you want. Was perfect to kick back after a morning up in the hills with a great view of the northern howgills straight from the back of the pick up. It was perfectly silent pretty much all day and over night apart from some sheep and the sound of the near by stream. Easy to get to en route from either the dales or the lakes. Great place!

Me gustó The composting toilets are great, they work. Fire pits at each pitch are a nice touch.

No me gustó The confirmation email states that showers are £5. There is no wifi. Noisy crows in the morning. Brush teeth in wash-up area. Please check the light in the toilet on the right.

Me gustó Great get away. If you like to get into the countryside and away from fast paced life, this is ideal. Town nearby and plenty long walks. Would recommend highly.

Me gustó Location was close to what we needed

No me gustó Toilets, they were dirty people didn't follow he instructions in how to use a compost toilet leaving them unusable. Needed to be cleaned more regularly

Del administrador: Hi Vicki, Apologies for the toilets. I was very unhappy with them when I saw them in the morning, too. We really do try to look after our toilets, and, as you said, if people don't use them correctly, it can take just one person to block them. It was the bank holiday when you were with us, and it was probably our busiest weekend to date. The toilets were cleaned throughout the day and at 9 pm and 7 am, and it's a shame that wasn't sufficient.
I hope you enjoyed the area while you were here.

No me gustó Wasn’t aware it actually had a shower facility … would definitely benefit to add another

We built the shower for the Bell tents just a couple of weeks ago, and because there is only one, we kept it for the Bell tent customers. We may open it up, so get in touch next time, and I can let you know where we are up to with that.

Me gustó Everything! Suzie and Sam are amazing hosts and have a lovely site. The site was quite busy but so peaceful, didn’t hear anyone during the day or at night!
Lots of walks directly from the site, either, onto the adjoining moorland or into the nearby village of Ravenstonedale.
There are a couple of composting toilets and washing up stations on the site, along with fresh water.
