What customers say
This peaceful, natural campsite has lovely views & a chilled vibe. Owners are friendly & helpful, toilets are clean, fire pits provided. It's basic, but the "back to nature" feel & value are great. Showers would be a bonus. Perfect for a quiet escape, walking & stargazing.

Unpowered grass motorhome site
Liked Friendly manager;
compost toilets were well maintained;
plenty of space for kids to play;
quiet and secluded;
Beautiful dark sky at night;
A really lovely walk straight out of the site and up over the fells.
Disliked Seemed expensive for what it was - basically a toilet in a field.
Sheep had obviously been using the field to graze; didn't bother me but a couple of the other members of our party said that the quantity of dung was excessive.
Overheard someone who used the shower complaining that she was dirtier after using it than when she went in. Also a £5 charge for the shower seemed excessive.

Absolute gem of a site
Unpowered grass motorhome site
Liked Everything. So peaceful, stunning location.
Suzie was amazing with us, she very kindly rescheduled our stay as we couldn't get there on the weekend we originally booked. On arrival she greeted us and advised on where to park up. We had a lovely stay. Everything about it is just what we look for in a camp site.
Didn't need to use the toilet facilities, however I did once as I've never used a composting toilet, all was clean and tidy, with toilet rolls provided. Sink area for washing up was clean and tidy!
Would highly recommend, and can't wait to book another stay

Lovely little site with nice views
Unpowered concrete and grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Lovely little site, very quiet with beautiful views. Compost toilets were fab (I was a little worried about them).
Disliked The field was covered in sheep poop which was a shame but didn't cause any issues as such, just meant we always had to have shoes on.

Unpowered grass motorhome site
Liked Spacious campsite, which isn’t busy so you don’t feel like you’re falling over other campers.
Quiet and peaceful.
I visited alone and had a lovely evening relaxing.
Disliked Personally, I think the price was a little steep for the amenities included but with the quietness I didn’t mind (if the campsite was busier, I wouldn’t be impressed with the price). Had to book as a campervan due to roof tent and pay extra for this, however tents and camper vans in the same location.
(Would still visit again though)
