Me gustó We liked everything about the campsite, we were allowed to leave our car as we were walking from Shap to Kirby Stephen (C2C) field was highly maintained, quiet and out the way from busy road, picnic bench and firepit, we could not of asked for more as a campsite. Thank you Amanda.

Me gustó Portaloo relatively clean.
Great size pitch especially for our tent.
Good parking opposite the pitches.
Good working sink and tap with running water for washing up!

Hearing the waterfalls and stream in the dead of the night...

No me gustó Portaloo did stink when flushing 🥴 but can't complain as its a luxury in the middle of nowhere!

Traffic can be heard from the nearby road but this does subside during the night.

A campervan rocked up shortly after 9pm and set up their tent and they left around 7am, which was a bit noisy at an inconvenient time- not the end of the world.

Me gustó We had a lovely time, stayed for 2 nights! Everything was clean and swimming in the river was great too!

Me gustó Eden Escapes was so nice and chill. There was a couple of loud people but the owners had it completely under control and made sure the campsite was wholesome for everyone. The owners were so nice and lovely too. The location was great, a nice little stroll to Kirkby Stephen.

No me gustó Noisy shouting and screaming going on by adults and children
Didn’t like the way cars wernt allowed by tent dogs barking nearly all the time not under control by the owners allowed to wander no attempt made by owners to stop them toilets were in a state not kept clean children playing in the sink where get water no supervision off adults just left to play and miss behave while adults sat drinking

Del administrador: Hi, sorry you have not enjoyed your stay with us. We do advertise that we do not allow cars on pitches in order to allow a safe space for children to play. We are a family and dog friendly site and so some noise is to be expected. As it was a sold out bank holiday weekend there may have been more noise than usual. We visit the site regularly throughout the day to check on campers alongside cleaning the toilets but you raised no concerns at the time when we could have dealt with it. We plan on investing on another toilet for next year which should help. We appreciate our site is maybe not for you but we wish you well in your future camping endeavours. Amanda

No me gustó The site was unattended basically and next to a road, wasn’t much to it.

Me gustó We all loved our stay here, perfect for the kids being able to safely play with plenty of space and they absolutely loved being down at the river. Site owner was lovely and very friendly. Will definitely book again.

Me gustó Everything, very basic but it’s such a good spot. Peaceful, right next to river to have a splash, owner very laid back and friendly, and clean portaloos. Really nice family friendly spot that was perfect for us for just the one night.
