Me gustó Pitches were decent size. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Pub was great with excellent food. Facilities could have been in better condition but otherwise fine.

Me gustó Very quiet,great location for Amble and Warkworth castle,grass area nice and flat. Pub food great.... Salmon on specials board was excellent 👌. Yes there is a mainline railway nearby but you hardly notice it (train spotters delight) staff in pub really nice and owner honest and down to earth bloke 👍all in all We're definitely go back. Dogs welcome too,keep on lead.

No me gustó Could do with modernising, facilities not that clean, high-speed trains very close which will wake you up (unless you like trains!)

Me gustó From the minute we arrived at The Railway Inn, to the minute we left, we loved every minute!
On arrival we were greeted by a lovely young woman (didn't get her name) who showed us to our pitch and gave us as much information as we needed, and was very helpful and polite!
Our pitch was absolutely lovely set next to an old well and was lovely and peaceful surrounded by other lovely campers!
We got set up and had wonder into the pub and sat in the beer garden enjoying the lovely weather with a crisp cold cider with my wife to celebrate our anniversary weekend away with our son!
After having tea we went back into the pub to where we met the owner of the site and what a cracking down to earth bloke he is! After a few pints, getting to know others staying on site, he put on the karaoke machine and what a night we all had!
As for negative reviews we read before going, take it from us there is nothing wrong with this site it's fantastic! As for the reviews on the toilet blocks, yes there old but were clean and nothing like we read, this is a fantastic priced site and went above and beyond what we expected and is perfect!
It is a campsite and not a 5 star hotel in the Maldives, it's camping and is a one we won't forget for all the right reasons!

Me gustó Great food and atmosphere. Pitches are spacious. Owner was very welcoming and kindly arranged for our group to be next to each other. We cannot comment on the shower block / facilities as we didn’t use them.

Me gustó Size of pitches, nice wee pub.

No me gustó Quite expensive, pitches and grounds not well maintained. Toilets and shower block were pretty dirty, looked as if they hadn’t been cleaned for a while.

Me gustó We had a great pitch with lots of space. The showers were hot and lots of water. We had a great value meal on the first evening

Me gustó The site was great. Facilities good. Handy for pub.

No me gustó I was sleeping about 3metres away from railway line which started running at 6.15. I am on holiday and dont want to wake up that early.
