Flaxton Meadows

Me gustó: A wonderful, peaceful site with huge pitches hard standing pitches and some lovely landscaping including a very pretty lake with an island in the centre ( from which we saw a huge heron gracefully take flight on our first evening). We were greeted by friendly staff to show us our pitch and brief us about the facilities. The toilet and shower block are fantastic! Spotlessly clean and toasty warm. Loved the eco friendly vibe, the nature trail and the sound of the curlew.

No me gustó: Not a dislike as such, but useful for campers to know the toilets are closed between 10:30 and 12 daily for cleaning. Also the bar has limited opening hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. You need transport for this site as shops and pubs are not really within walking distance.

Me gustó: We only stayed a couple of nights, but will stay again. The staff were very friendly and everything was clean. The pitches are big which was good, as we had 2 cars.

Me gustó: The site is beautiful, well laid out and standard of facilities second to none. Onsite bar is excellent. The site is well run by a lovely couple who were very welcoming, helpful and hard working.

No me gustó: The hard standing pitches can be very difficult to knock awning pegs into - take a good hammer and good quality pegs and plenty of patience

Me gustó: Very quiet bar had a lovely atmosphere Very clean toilets

No me gustó: Children are not allowed only in the cabins which is not alot for them to do as they cannot attend the bar I think if they had a park and food it would make it even better

Me gustó: An incredible place to stay - staff extremely helpful and friendly, toilets & facilities clean and easy to access, location is lovely, not too far from anything but far enough to be in the middle of nature. Would definitely recommend for adults and kids alike!

Me gustó: Flaxton Meadows is a wonderful site, it has by far the best toilet/shower facilities we have ever encountered. John the owner and his team are very friendly and extremely professional. Sustainability is very high on their agenda which is fabulous to experience. The onsite bar is a must it is fabulous and sensibly priced.

No me gustó: Absolutely nothing to dislike

Me gustó: Friendly, relaxed adult only site. Fully serviced pitch, dogs very welcome on leads. Great small bar on site, local pizza delivered to site. Facilities immaculate and made to feel very welcome, will come back.

Me gustó: The welcome to the site from Lucy & Micheal they explained everything to us. The toilet & shower block was amazing so clean & warm. There was a bar on site which was great but unfortunately we didn’t get to use it, next time we will. We went to York & Scarborough by car. Site 5 Star 🌟

Me gustó: Well kept site with good amenities. Ideal for dogs with plenty of walking on site. Great little bar, friendly atmosphere and friendly& helpful hosts.
