wonderful walks.long coast walks ,
which the site could have made more of by having a guide sheet.I think they missed a trick not telling you about ,
The wonderful brewery we found a 20 minute walk from the site near the Abbey that also maded fresh pizza, This would have been great to know, as no where near,other than Whitby town to eat out.
We also found a tour bus that went from the town to the near by Abbey(20 min walk from the site) which was helpful we also could have been told about that. one tickets could be used over 24hrs.

write up made it sound like Whiby town was near,which is was.
It was a bit more than a 20min stroll with very steep hills.You couldn't just pop into town for something to eat or drink and pop back.
Saying that is was a lovely walk across fields (in good weather)
You needed to have everything with you, as no where near.When your in a van if your in a place a few days ,you often look for a site that is near a pub ,shop or eatary. So you don't have to move the van.
very little parking in the town.
More accurate information about that would have been helpful.

Me gustó Amazing views, peaceful place with no noise from the hustle and bustle of normal life. Beautiful night sky with no light pollution.

Perfectly situated for walking routes and only a short walk to Whitby.
Clevedon way and cinder track easily accessible.

Shower and toilet cabin all good (joint) especially for the size of the site.
Was kept clean tidy and presentable.

Met the farmer whilst there, pleasant and happy person, cheerful to have a chat with.

Animals were entertaining.

No me gustó Only downside to joint toilet and shower block, if you’re in need of the toilet and someone is showering you have to wait.

Me gustó Fantastic site with Saltwick Bay and Whitby within a short walk along the Cleveland way. Amazing views, dark skies at night and very quiet. Owner was really friendly and told us about the south lighthouse and foghorn which was a easy short walk to see.
Facilities are basic but very clean and well looked after. Would highly recommend a stay.

Me gustó The site was excellent, could not have asked for more. I really liked the location. Getting into town was a great walk to be honest about 25-30 mins, and a good walk for dogs. Just cannot walk easily past twilight hours as too dark to navigate without torches

No me gustó Confusion on pitch allocation as was given a pitch number someone else was occupying. Then called the owner and he gave us the pitch next to the original one we had allocated. But people accosted us after we set up saying we had pitched up on Thier pitch. Not greta but as they were leaving in the morning they were happy to allow us to stay there, just wish this had not happened as it was uncomfortable

Me gustó This was the perfect little place to say. Small site with basic facilities. A short walk to Saltwick Beach and another 15 minutes to Whitby. We loved it!

Me gustó We had a lovely stay, the scenery was beautiful 💖 wasn't far for town , Tom the owner came and greeted us very nice man, thank you very much ,would definitely stay again ,its very quiet , saw the horses and a couple of goats, took a few photos

Fabulous views over the coastline and Whitby Abbey
Shower and toilet clean and tidy.

No me gustó Could not locate any dustbins though im sure if we contacted the host he would have informed us.
