Sentry Circle Camping

Me gustó Quite a lot of space to pitch up (there's way more than 10 pitches advertised - if you're looking for a quite campsite, that won't be the one!)

No me gustó The loos might look clean, but they're really old and smell horrible (especially in men's). There's mould on the shower curtains which can be replaced easily. I don't know how people are taking shower there (especially in disabled!!) when the light is switched off every 20 sec - you need to get close to the door to turn it on.
The road is close so might be a bit noisy - that depends whether you mind it. It's the first campsite where there was quite a lot of music each night too.

No me gustó Site is on a slight hill, and hard to get pegs in… but nothing to ruin a holiday 😁

Me gustó Really friendly people, relaxed check in and there was a solstice event on with fire and stalls, there seemed to be other events happening later in the summer too. The stone circle has a lovely view. Facilities are enough for what you need and they were kept clean all weekend

No me gustó If you are camping in the second field don’t make the same mistake as me - look out for the small thistles before pitching or bring an extra ground sheet :)

Me gustó The owner Derek was lovely and helpful, as were all of the staff. Nice little shop on site with a hippie clothing boutique, worth a look in! The site itself was peaceful and the views were absolutely gorgeous. Where I was pitched, the ground was sloped a little but it’s a field it’s not going to be dead flat is it? And it didn’t bother me one bit! Brought my own campfire which are allowed and bought a bag of logs from the site which was amazing value. I loved that the site had no electric or WiFi, it was such a nice time detoxing from my phone and being in nature. The vibe of the campsite was lovely, and as a new camper talking to others staying there who visit regularly and are experienced campers gave me so much great advice, everyone I came across was so helpful and nice. Can’t wait to book up again soon. Thank you!!

Me gustó The site was great. There were quite a few camping but plenty of room to spread out. Lovely views from the top of the field where the stones are. Clean facilities. Very friendly owner
