Sunnyside Campsite

Me gustó Love everything about Sunnyside. The hosts Sally and Richard are so welcoming and work hard with all the extra special touches like play areas for the children’s, pizza night, weekly cake sales and small things like flowers in the loo which just make it feel homely and so unique. Just love that it’s so safe that kids get to be kids and we adults got to sit and breathe without worrying.

No me gustó The pub is a whole 5 minute walk…. Lol joking 🙃

Me gustó Loved the small site, the childrens play area, the ping pong table and hammocks. Liked that the children could run freely without worry and the flowers in the bathrooms were a lovely touch. The store was super and it all felt rustic, simple and authentic. Great location too near the seaside.

Me gustó Everything! This is our fourth visit and always our favourite site. Lovely and quiet, great woodland area for kids and good facilities including a little store and communal fridge. Just 20 mins from Southwold too.

We walked to the local pub (The Racehorse) for a roast and it didn't disappoint.

Me gustó Our second visit this year, this time we brought family with us and it was again perfect, I knew it would be! Not basic at all but small, retro or vintage and perfectly formed with beautiful attention to detail by Sally. My niece wondered at fresh flowers in the loos every day and adored the Faith in Nature Hand soap.

The children were always safe to explore and had the best fun as did their dogs and ours. It was so lovely for them to be able to run around across to ours from their pitch. The swing was fabulous they both loved it right outside their pitch. The table tennis was a big hit and challenge too!

We can’t thank Sally enough she is such a lovely host nothing is too much trouble and she and her Mum are always happy to talk.

We woke early a couple of days and were rewarded with a chorus of Goldcrest and Spotted Flycatcher, amongst many others we already knew amazing!

No me gustó That I didn’t pre-book the pub! I had promised my family a meal we walked down on our last night and walked back disappointed. It’s a community run pub with real camra ales we had enjoyed in May. I was so sorry.

I am really sorry that the pub was too busy to accommodate your group of seven. The Racehorse pub recommends booking in advance to avoid any disappointment. (www.westhallpub.com) Glad to hear that the local fish & chippy got you sorted instead!)

Me gustó Lovely and quiet small campsite, lots of room and fantastic setting in amongst the trees.
Clean toilets and shower, great little on site store with a good range of essentials.
Can’t think of anything we didn’t like!
Definitely coming back!

Me gustó Beautiful small site with mowed pitches surrounded by trees. Very quiet, out of the way location.

No me gustó Shower not so great (temporarily I guess).

We are pleased that the new shower unit was fitted on Saturday! (Your visit was for one night last Thursday, so you would have had to manage with the old temperamental one!)

However, even at the best of times, the facilities here are limited. We offer a simple, ‘back to basics’ experience. Anyone requiring more should consider booking a larger, commercial site.

We do hope to see you again another time!
