Breydon Water Holiday Park

Me gustó Great access to all the entertainment, pool and amusements etc. The pitch size was generous which we needed for our larger tent. The toilets/shower block/ washing up room etc were conveniently all part of the same block.

No me gustó It's a shame the showers were a press button that had to be held in to work, it makes showering with kids much harder when they weren't tall enough to do it themselves while I washed them. The water stopped as soon as you let go of the button, could really do with being changed.
Unfortunately there were lots of wasps but I'm not sure there is anything that can be done about that, and it was mostly only an issue when food was out and attracting them.
Unfortunately there were some groups that were smoking weed, but they weren't troublesome, just irritating having the smell around the kids.

Me gustó All facilities were on hand, we did suffer a hot water breakdown which was soon fixed.
Clubhouse offered great children's entertainment.

Me gustó Nothing much, entertainment was awful, prices at bar were high

No me gustó Showers/toilets were dirty and only cleaned once per day. Toilets regularly ran out of toilet paper. Only 4 sinks for nearly 100 pitches.

Me gustó Friendly staff and the entertainment was great for little ones

No me gustó Facility block are dated and you need to hold the button all the time to have a shower

Me gustó Flat Large pitches

No me gustó Cleanliness of whole site. No dogs allowed in club after 6pm, No one to check you in after 5.30pm. Terrible showers.

Me gustó Walks and lovely meals and staff in resteraunt/only downside shower block a bit dated/and no diss allowed in bar after 6 a lot of people complained about this

Me gustó Clean facilities, nice outdoor and indoor pool. Lots of things to book. Close to the castle ruins for a walk. Guy in golf booth very friendly and reopened the hut for a last minute game of golf.

No me gustó Looking a bit tired in places. Staff mentioned parkdene hadn't invested so they were doing what the could. The pitches were lacking grass which might have been due to the hot weather. Great for a short break though.

Me gustó friendly staff, nice meals, went to indoor pool and thought it could do with some TLC , ( some tiles in the pool missing and a lot of patch work. Painted characters on windows needed brightening up or replaced) but I had a nice swim can't fault it . nice toilet/shower block on camp site but there was a strange smell about it ! was made welcome, yes I enjoyed it and would come again.

No me gustó Being woken up at 4 each morning by a cockerel ! but that is nature not the only bird as the crows started then pigeons , just nature so not complaining.

Me gustó The site is next to Burgh castle ruins (5 min walk from the camp) its views are unbelievable. Amazing for dog walking and even the kids were going on their bikes to watch the sunset each evening as it was that stunning.
Good instant was very nice not too over prices but the drinks were extortionate.

No me gustó Everything else really. Not to sound miserable but the pitches were so uneven and full of stones. So wasn’t the easiest to pop the tent up. Half the reason I chose this site was that it had an outdoor pool with slide. Great for our 3 teenagers who had already started summer hols. 4 out of 5 days they went swimming and the slide was closed. I went into reception multiple times to be told by the lifeguard management that they were busy doing other jobs to open the slide with it not being high season yet. We were there 6-11th July. Reception staff extremely rude. On the first night we went to get some food and the ceiling caved in on us due to how severe the rain was falling. Act of god. The staff in restaurant were lovely. We had to move our own table twice and finish our dinner. No complaints as our food avoided the water just kids were a bit wet, but the bar manager asked us to go see park manager the next morning as they’d like to give us some vouchers for being understanding. The restaurant was evacuated shortly after.
Popped into reception and the manager Paul did everything in his power to avoid us. Excuse after excuse and this is when we didn’t even have a complaint!! Was just going down as per bar managers request. Also they needed statements on file of what happened.

Facilities- yuck! Not very clean and the showers are shocking, you have to hold the button to get water running but it doesn’t keep flowing for a few seconds like some do, it stops and the showers are shoulder height. So trying to wash your hair whilst having to keep the button in was joyful. I did end up going in disabled next time my hair needed washing.

Me gustó The park itself was ok as was the entertainment, food court and swimming pool

No me gustó The shower facilities pressing the control for the shower was actually horrendous as water was only on for approximately 5/10 seconds would be impossible for a parent to wash a child no shop on the park had to go to the other park which if you have a motorhome was a bit of a chore
