Me gustó: Fabulous caravan with everything that’s required for a stay, (apart from your own bed linen) Charlie Bassett’s pub located on site serving sumptuous meals and great beers and lagers. Kev, the owner is really friendly and after giving us a run down of the facilities of the caravan took time to tell us about the fascinating history of the village.

Me gustó: Excellent pit stop between the Lake District and Surrey. Level hard standing pitch with electric and water and right in the grounds of a pub which served terrific food. In lovely countryside location with a choice of moorland walks for the dog. Terrific staff, very helpful and accommodating. Would recommend.

Me gustó: Family friendly site, lovely animals & park area. Great seating area with an outside bbq food place. Inside is a wonderful pub with great bar staff, the two ladies would do anything you need. Luke was super too with helping us re book our next stay. The owner welcomed us along with his daughter who also was very friendly. It’s not our first time on the site and won’t be our last. Thanks again everybody

Me gustó: Lovely campsite. Friendly staff, clean facilities, nice views over the farmland and countryside. Only stayed for one night, but will be back for a longer stay in future.

Me gustó: The views was lovely. Location for Alton Towers

No me gustó: The cleaning facilities like the shower and toilets were dirty, hair all over them nothing clean needed a good scrub. No toilet roll and one of the hand dryers was absolutely freezing.

But we are disappointed with the Disliked Views . - Toilet Rolls ( This is the 1st Complaint we have had but most campers have there own as well ?? ) - Hand Dryer Will be Checked tomorrow , no one else has reported it ? - Cleanliness of our Facilities , These are cleaned every day and are signed off in the Block info notice board. Unfortunately if a previous Camper has not respected them it is hard for us to follow in after every time. IF YOU Scroll back at all our previous reviews i am sure you will see the totally opposite comments to yours , Regards Team Charlies

Me gustó: Lovely quiet site. People very friendly. Nice pub to have a meal and listen to music.

No me gustó: Nothing to dislike about the site. Looked into the fishing (not run by the site) but no day tickets you had to join the club which was a shame If you wanted a one off day fishing

Me gustó: Friendly staff on arrival, well sign posted. Very accommodating and welcome text day of arrival with Information for our stay. Site itself was beautiful, lovely mostly flat pitches with hook up. Fire pits available to hire and wood etc. Lovely little pub on site with great atmosphere and friendly staff. The BEST chips ever!

Me gustó: We loved everything. Very spacious pitches. Lovely,well kept site. Fantastic communication from Kev , infact all the team at Charlie Bassets were very helpful and friendly. The pub is an extra bonus for booking a pitch there. The food is awesome, and 'real' chips!! There was entertainment on Friday and Saturday night. The pub has a lovely atmosphere. We had a brilliant short break there. I would highly recommend a visit,we will definitely be booking again.
