Me gustó: Beautiful views and ground flat and in good condition. The campsite owner Sophie was very helpful and friendly. The compost toilet was clean and pleasant to use.

No me gustó: The site is close to a busy A road and the noise from the traffic disturbed the tranquility of the setting. This is the only reason I haven't given the site a 5*

Me gustó: Funnily enough I was the only person booked in for 2 nights so pretty much had the campsite to myself. Sophie and her partner were both friendly and welcoming people.

No me gustó: There's only 1 shower but then again I had it to myself so it was great. But just thinking if a lot of people book into the campsite at the same time.

Me gustó: Good location. Easy walk to excellent pub/restaurant. Walking routes direct from the campsite and many more within a short drive. Campsite hosts were friendly and helpful. Camping area was generally flat and there was plenty of space. Facilities were basic (compost toilets) but clean. Shower was electric so no chance of running out of hot water - very important when 8 of us were trying to get clean after a long days hiking.

No me gustó: What is not clear from the website description is that it is a very steep walk from the sinks/shower up to the camping area. (There is a much longer less steep rough track for vehicles which you could walk). The site worked for us but it would not be suitable for people with mobility problems. Only one shower (although see positives - lots of hot water)

No me gustó: Drive to the campsite can be a bit tricky if you have a delicate city car.

Me gustó: Loved it! Fabulous back to basics camp site quiet, peaceful, stunning scenery and views and the owners were so lovely. Felt so welcome, so helpful. Basic facilities (compost toilet & shower and cold water tap), but very clean and well maintained. Minutes from some great walking in the Shropshire Hills. Campsite is on top of a hill (great views) but plenty of flat pitches and loads of space. Camp fires allowed and logs available were great quality. Great find. Will be going back as soon as we can. Loved the goats, chickens, ducks and rabbits. Hoping to spot the deer on our next visit. Highly recommend.

Me gustó: Friendly owners who gave plenty of information, ideal facilities and a lovely camping spot with beautiful views of the shropshire hills. Couldn’t fault!

Me gustó: Beautiful views from the hill where our tent was pitched, and we loved seeing the goats, chicken and ducks on our way in and out of the site. Enjoyed stargazing and listening to the owls too!

Me gustó: Great location - fantastic views and walks around. Loads of space. Toilets really clean. Good facilities for washing-up. Great to have all the animals (goats and chickens) wandering around. Hosts really friendly and helpful.
