Me gustó Great site run a lovely couple , big pitches lots of room , basic but spotless toilets and showers .Really quite and relaxing.

No me gustó Needs more toilets and showers it wasn’t a big problem as site was only about a quarter full, but if full would be a problem

Me gustó Loved this site , relaxed atmosphere .. great fishing lake .. great people .. big thanks to Martin and the team for making us feel so welcome .. always on hand if you need anything .. and bar on site is a great addition to the site … 👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ see you all again soon

Me gustó We loved the open space available to play games with the children and the fishing. Nothing was to much trouble for Martin, he was always happy to help and advise on how and where to fish.

Me gustó The site is quiet and peacefull just been taken over by new owners who are improving things all the time, Martin who runs the site is very helpfull and plesant , there is a nice pub 5 minutes away food is nice we liked it there so much we have sited are caravan there for the summer, a perfect retreat after a weeks work we love it

Me gustó Nice, quiet site. We visited over the weekend and arrived at the site in the afternoon. There was plenty of room and it was pretty quiet. We stayed on a hard standing and that was a decent enough size. We didnt get great internet, but we were by some trees, so I put it down to that. The toilets/shower room probably needed a bit of updating inside but, honestly, wasn't a problem. The shower was also very good as well (powerful, warm, and not having to press a button every 30 seconds). We used this as a base to visit Sherwood Forest and Lincoln on separate days. Both around 30 mins away. We sat out in the evening and had a nice time, weather was warm and the site was peaceful. The gate is key coded (security for the lake) and the entrance road is quite narrow but we never had a problem. There is a pub, 5 minutes walk away but, unfortunately, never got to go there. Overall, I would recommend and stay again.

Me gustó The start of the visit was a bit traumatic you have to go down a single lane road for the last half a mile or so (glad I wasn't driving) the sat nav takes you to a house which is 3 entrances too early, I phoned for help but only got a voice mail, fortunately we found it quickly, the turn is tight through the barrier and we caught the caravan on the entry keypad. The site has a new owner who is gradually making changes, they were away on holiday though so we only saw people who called by from another site. There is a new toilet block which is functioning but needs finishing. The showers (2 in the ladies) are actually fab but the curtain is hung too far in and sucks in to your body once the shower is on. Hubby says the gents loo is a bad flusher, there are 3 loos in the ladies they flush ok. It was really peaceful apart from a dog who barked a lot and there was a lot of grass cutting and strimming going on. They have a bar bus but that wasn't open, think they were opening it on Bank Holiday. There are some lakeside pods going in which looked nice. There are currently 30 electric pitches and some seasonal vans. The grass is mown right around the site so you can walk the dogs. If you speak to someone on site they will tell you how to cut through to the pub which is on another caravan site. The lake has lots of pegs but needs work to either build up or take out the old pegs which currently make it a bit difficult to net the fish. The fishing is good but will be better when the fish are different species and sizes, but it is early days and I am sure it can and will be a really lovely site. We liked it and look forward to seeing how it develops.

Me gustó Absolutely beautiful site , peaceful, tranquil.
Nice fishing lake recently stocked with 600 mirror carp up to 6lb . Great pub round the corner.
The host Mark was very helpful and accommodating "he had everything that we forgot" .
Can't wait to go back
