Me gustó Very quiet and picturesque location. Susan does a fabulous job of keeping everything clean and well stocked. There's a kettle, toaster and microwave to use if needed - and even some biscuits and tea bags! The pitches are huge with lots of space. Susan has even created a little play area for children and added a basketball hoop, badminton set and football nets. There are also board games to play in the shared hut as well as WiFi. You can tell a lot of love has gone into this site and we loved it. Thank you for having us!

No me gustó The shower situation is basic but functional. It wouldn't put me off personally. People have mentioned the road to get there - it's not that bad, just take it slowly. 😊

Me gustó Everything thing.There was absolutely nothing to complain about.Mick and Susan were the perfect hosts,I could talk to them both for hours.The facilities were perfect,the location is great and loads of wildlife throughout the day.The pitches are flat and well spaced.There is also a small spinner/meadow for a wild camp experience.I will be going back asap.Susan was also very kind in getting me six eggs.Loved every minute of my two days.

No me gustó I had to come home.

Me gustó Lovely stay with you even though it was just the night, very friendly and helpful. A lovely quiet spot. Will definitely come again!! Disappointed I didn’t get to try the shower out but the heavens opened whilst packing away was enough of a shower for me 😂

Me gustó Nice little camp site. Very neat and quiet.

No me gustó No proper toilet and shower facilities. Although when booking, the website said shower block and toilets!! Only 1 toilet for the whole campsite.

Del administrador: We have two flushing toilets so it’s obvious you didn’t go in either of them as I believe you had your own . This is very unfair . If you go on pitchup you can see our beautiful toilets . Also regarding cleanliness you were here when those (Feral children were here ) the grandfathers name for them . And even though everywhere is checked 5 times a day . Potwash ect they managed to wreck the kitchen part of our summer house and our microwave and kettle aren’t toys . It was a complete mess out there I agree . As for a shower we do have a shower and also 2 portable ones you can take to your tent / motorhome . You are hugely in the minority with your review . We have people coming back every year sometimes twice a year , I suggest you pay a bit more and go somewhere else not look for a bargain priced campsite with excellent if basic facilities and then complain as you didn’t say a word whilst you were here .

Me gustó Mick and Susan run a lovely little campsite that is simple, peaceful and incredibly homely. The site overlooks beautiful farmers’ fields and has all the basic amenities you need, including clean toilets, an Elsan point and drinking water. Bear in mind this is a Rustc/ wild type campsite.

What really stands out is the care that has gone into everything. So much has been reused, giving the campsite a charming, rustic feel rather than being overly developed. There is even a simple bucket shower, which adds to the back-to-basics experience.

Everything is simple but thoughtfully done, and the cleanliness is absolutely amazing. If you enjoy a peaceful, basic uncomplicated campsite with a friendly and homely feel, this is a wonderful place to stay. Mick and Susan have created something really special.

No me gustó Unfortunately there are no showers at this campsite, I did speak to the owner and he did say there are plans in place to build a single cubicle shower/ porta cabin shower.

Del administrador: I feel that your review about cleanliness is unfair as it took 2 hours to clean the summer house / cabin when you left despite me telling you the state it was in before you left . I expected your wife to come and tidy every where up but no you just left. Half a pound of sugar melted on surfaces spilt coffee and tea bags torn everywhere . It was spotless in there before the 3 children arrived . This area is primarily for cyclists anyway and we didn’t actually say you could go in there only to get the internet code .

Me gustó Peaceful, well maintained small site with good facilities. Loads of games for use - great for keeping kids happy! Plentiful wildlife. Friendly, helpful owners.
