Looking for a long Lincolnshire stay or simply overnighting? No matter which, you’re sure of a warm welcome at Willow Fields Camping, five minutes’ drive from Haxey's shops and pubs. Set in 10 acres of flat Lincolnshire countryside, the site has spectacular views of the surrounding farmland and nature reserves. Once on site, it’s time to kick back and relax, let the kids have a run around in safety and throw a ball for any dogs in the open field – please clean up after your pets and keep them on a lead around the pitches. An arcade and soft play centre with bouncy castles (all at an additional fee) is open on busy weekends, adding more things to do. If you’re self-catering, firepits and barbecues are permitted, but they must be at least a foot off the ground. Firewood can be bought on site, and there’s a bin near the exit for any ash. Not so keen on alfresco cooking? Head to the clubhouse (open Friday and Saturday during peak times), where there is a generous supply of pizzas, burgers and deep-fried goodies. Need a restorative drink after a day’s Lincolnshire adventuring? Call in at the bar for refreshing alcoholic and soft drinks. You’ve also got the option of three pubs within 20 minutes’ stroll. Keeping everyone – and everything – neat and tidy is a doddle, thanks to modern shower facilities, a launderette and washing-up sinks. Getting to Willow Fields is a cinch too, as it’s 10 minutes’ drive from the M180 motorway. Just be aware that the lane up to the site is roughly half-a-mile long and has a 10mph speed limit.

Me gustó Loved the site, great location, great funfair. Food options are good. Toilets/showers nice and clean. The only thing that would make our stay exceptional would be a coffee machine or hot water supply for nights or early mornings for those that couldn't get electrical pitch.

No me gustó It didn't bother us in the slightest but it isn't the quietest of sites, some families up later but we're respectful and lowered music etc but for some people that might annoy them. Like I say it didn't bother us, we had an amazing stay

Me gustó Great place to be and with a fair on field as well 😊 the clubhouse was a nice extra feature too.

No me gustó Not enough bins and pot washing stations as was a trek away from where we were. Toilets and showers didn’t look like they were cleaned regular either.

Me gustó Had a lovely day/night at the camp site , we are new to camping this year and going to willow fields for our 2nd place to try out really made us enjoy camping even more . The kids loved the area they had lots of space to run wild play games and ride bikes. The fairground and bouncy castles were defo a bonus during our stay and we found everything was reasonably priced. The camping area , toilets onsite club seemed all very clean and maintained. We will definitely be returning.

Club house was a nice focal point with great evening activities
Arcade and machines were great for adults and kids
Liked the random fun fair, but would jane like the option to pitch further away.
Owners were friendly and welcoming

No me gustó Not enough women's toilets. Lots of reliance on disabled toilet.
Pitch very close to the toilets: lots of late night/ early morning noise and conversations.

No me gustó There was a fun fair on arrival which is great for kids, unfortunately they wanted to pitch us in front of the fun fair near the toilets rather than at the field at the back of it. Extremely noisy and since the fair was open to the public left us feeling uneasy.
Toilets were terrible according to my 8 year old daughter who doesn't have the highest standards given her age.
I'm sure it's a lovely campsite at quieter times but we were not informed there would be a fun fair. The campsite was meant to let pitch up know but failed to do so. We left within half an hour of arrival. Very disappointed.

Im sorry you didnt enjoy your visit. Our toilets and showers are checked and cleaned several times a day to try and keep on top of demand. Pitches close to the facilities are usually very popular with families with young children. We relocated you to a pitch away from the fairground, the field you preferred unfortunately doesn't have electric hook up points so we weren't able to offer you a pitch there. If you would like to book again please feel free to add a note regarding your pitch preferences.

Keen to see some Lincolnshire flora and fauna? First stop might be the circular walk around Rush Furlong nature reserve – right outside the site gates – a wildflower meadow scattered with rare green-winged orchids, oxeye daisies and primroses. Potteric Carr Nature Reserve (25 minutes’ drive) is another wildlife haven teeming with wading birds in the lagoons and reed beds, plus meadows full of butterflies in summer. Yorkshire Wildlife Park (20 minutes) has a daily schedule of keeper talks and animal encounters to keep the whole family entertained, as well as a dinosaur trail and soft-play centres for younger kids – who will also probably adore meeting goats, ponies and wallabies at Shepherds Place Farm (five minutes). Rainy day? The historic market town of Epworth has a leisure centre with pool and gym to keep everyone distracted from the weather, as well as indie boutiques to browse. Red-brick Epworth Old Rectory (both five minutes) was the childhood home of John and Charles Wesley, founders of Methodism, and is open in summer for tours of its period rooms.
