Looking for a long Lincolnshire stay or simply overnighting? No matter which, you’re sure of a warm welcome at Willow Fields Camping, five minutes’ drive from Haxey's shops and pubs. Set in 10 acres of flat Lincolnshire countryside, the site has spectacular views of the surrounding farmland and nature reserves. Once on site, it’s time to kick back and relax, let the kids have a run around in safety and throw a ball for any dogs in the open field – please clean up after your pets and keep them on a lead around the pitches. An arcade and soft play centre with bouncy castles (all at an additional fee) is open on busy weekends, adding more things to do. If you’re self-catering, firepits and barbecues are permitted, but they must be at least a foot off the ground. Firewood can be bought on site, and there’s a bin near the exit for any ash. Not so keen on alfresco cooking? Head to the clubhouse (open Friday and Saturday during peak times), where there is a generous supply of pizzas, burgers and deep-fried goodies. Need a restorative drink after a day’s Lincolnshire adventuring? Call in at the bar for refreshing alcoholic and soft drinks. You’ve also got the option of three pubs within 20 minutes’ stroll. Keeping everyone – and everything – neat and tidy is a doddle, thanks to modern shower facilities, a launderette and washing-up sinks. Getting to Willow Fields is a cinch too, as it’s 10 minutes’ drive from the M180 motorway. Just be aware that the lane up to the site is roughly half-a-mile long and has a 10mph speed limit.

不喜欢 Showers could of done with a bit more regular cleaning and not something about the site but just from other campers being loud, letting their dogs run wild wondering into tents and their kids taking our kids toys

喜欢 Had a lovely day/night at the camp site , we are new to camping this year and going to willow fields for our 2nd place to try out really made us enjoy camping even more . The kids loved the area they had lots of space to run wild play games and ride bikes. The fairground and bouncy castles were defo a bonus during our stay and we found everything was reasonably priced. The camping area , toilets onsite club seemed all very clean and maintained. We will definitely be returning.

不喜欢 There was a fun fair on arrival which is great for kids, unfortunately they wanted to pitch us in front of the fun fair near the toilets rather than at the field at the back of it. Extremely noisy and since the fair was open to the public left us feeling uneasy.
Toilets were terrible according to my 8 year old daughter who doesn't have the highest standards given her age.
I'm sure it's a lovely campsite at quieter times but we were not informed there would be a fun fair. The campsite was meant to let pitch up know but failed to do so. We left within half an hour of arrival. Very disappointed.

Im sorry you didnt enjoy your visit. Our toilets and showers are checked and cleaned several times a day to try and keep on top of demand. Pitches close to the facilities are usually very popular with families with young children. We relocated you to a pitch away from the fairground, the field you preferred unfortunately doesn't have electric hook up points so we weren't able to offer you a pitch there. If you would like to book again please feel free to add a note regarding your pitch preferences.

不喜欢 Being put right next to toilets with small children in hot weather the smell was unbearable at times. Not smart by willow fields. You had to pay for everything the kids wanted to do so makesure you bring money.

We are sorry you didn't enjoy your stay with us on this occasion. We have 2 pitches adjacent to our 2 toilet blocks and they are very popular with families with young children to avoid accidents. If memories serves the septic tank was emptied during your stay which would account for the bad smell. We try to cater to all our campers various needs and could have looked into changing your pitch. If you would like to visit again please feel free to add some notes to the booking regarding your pitching preference and we will do our best to fulfill them.

不喜欢 Tents to close together they was actually touching it was a fire hazard showers stunk of urine that bad arcades just a shed club house never open indoor play a lorry back fair rides old and dated not enough toilets to accommodate the the amount of pitches and not enough showers. When I say Tents to close I mean that close I could only use one of the doors on my tent because the tent next door was touching mine . They haven't thought about the sizing of pitches I left early because I didn't feel comfortable with my tent touching someone else's

Our pitches are all approximately 9m square which is enough for even the largest tents, though the guide ropes can sometimes exceed this depending on how they have been fitted. Our outside bar and cinema screen were open during the day with the sand pit and fairground, and the indoor clubhouse opens in the evenings at the weekends to serve food after the fair closes. The arcades are opened in the morning and closed in the evening.

喜欢 Very relaxing, the staff were very welcoming and lovely i would definitely be visiting again

不喜欢 Not really much for the kids to do. We took swimming ball and all the other kids loved joining in and no shop on site either

喜欢 Mint campsite just got back from 2 nights
Deffo be back kids loved it, entertainment all day plus we watched the England match on the big screen.
Food was nice aswell and not too expensive same goes for the bar.
Owners very friendly and helpful.

Keen to see some Lincolnshire flora and fauna? First stop might be the circular walk around Rush Furlong nature reserve – right outside the site gates – a wildflower meadow scattered with rare green-winged orchids, oxeye daisies and primroses. Potteric Carr Nature Reserve (25 minutes’ drive) is another wildlife haven teeming with wading birds in the lagoons and reed beds, plus meadows full of butterflies in summer. Yorkshire Wildlife Park (20 minutes) has a daily schedule of keeper talks and animal encounters to keep the whole family entertained, as well as a dinosaur trail and soft-play centres for younger kids – who will also probably adore meeting goats, ponies and wallabies at Shepherds Place Farm (five minutes). Rainy day? The historic market town of Epworth has a leisure centre with pool and gym to keep everyone distracted from the weather, as well as indie boutiques to browse. Red-brick Epworth Old Rectory (both five minutes) was the childhood home of John and Charles Wesley, founders of Methodism, and is open in summer for tours of its period rooms.
