Me gustó: This site is worth coming here just for the view!!! The sunset, the sunrise, the clouds, the night sky!!! Perfect for a weekend away from it all. Walks starting from the field, cycle routes through pretty villages on almost traffic free little lanes. It definitely felt as close to wild camping as possible, but drinking water and the clean compost toilet added the right level of comfort. And there is enough signal in the field to stay connected if you need to - it was good for last minute changes to my walking and cycling plans. Super interesting chat to Philip and his dad as well. I hope to come back at some point in the not too distant future.

Me gustó: The views and scenery. The peace and quiet. The cleanest compost toilet I’ve ever used. The friendly farmer who is so knowledge about the local area! There is so much history in this small piece of the country and the walking is brilliant.

Me gustó: Absolutely everything about this site. The freedom, the views, the well kept grass to pitch on. The location, the views, and tge facilities ( enough - it’s all we need when camping) and the care of the farmer who makes sure he knows who is on his site. He was exceptionally knowledgeable about the area, made recommendations for reading and went above and beyond when it got windy by surrounding our tent with hay bales!

Me gustó: Plenty of space, peace and quiet and great views. Simple camping as stated in the description which is exactly what we were looking for.

No me gustó: We didn’t really dislike but we hadn’t realised we’d have to drive through a field full of cows and then another field to access the camping field.

Me gustó: We had a lovely week's wild (ish) camping in a super field with plenty of flat areas in such beautiful countryside with amazing views. It was great to be able to camp where you wanted, we were lucky to have the field to ourselves. Good access to water and a composting toilet which was clean and basic. The farmer Philip was super friendly and informative about the local area, with great advice on where to wild swim locally. Great walks straight from the campsite. Highly recommend.

Me gustó: A really lovely wild camp in a clover field. Remote and very quiet with beautiful views and a friendly and knowledgeable host.

Me gustó: The most stunning views, throughly enjoyed our stay at Oatcroft and will definitely be back soon. As close to nature as you can get, perfect if you want a peaceful stay. Philip was extremely friendly and made us feel welcome from arrival to departure. Good toilet facilities and fresh water, the best campsite I have stayed at.

Me gustó: Fabulous views, easy to find, plenty of space - felt private, peaceful & relaxing - a beautiful, natural field with basic facilities.

Me gustó: Open scenery on a working farm. Gorgeous view for miles over all the open hills. Friendly knowledgeable host who even lent us a book about local history (Thanks again Philip) Secluded spot similar to wild camping Lots of local walking routes

No me gustó: Not a problem for us but some may be put off by lack of shower and simple compost toilet cabin. Was well maintained
