Stancombe Ash Farm

Me gustó: Lovely rustic campsite on a working farm. We were in the Orchard and the children loved watching the chickens. There were basic shower / toilet facitities but the owners allowed people to use their spare bathroom. The owners were lovely and so friendly. They found out the children were interested in tractors so took them to see their tractors and explained all about the crop that they farmed. We went with friends who had never camped before and they had such a great time they have now invested in a tent and camping gear! An amazing holiday!! Thank you to Martin and his wife

Me gustó: Good location with easy access. The orchard field was pleasant. Even though there was a single portaloo, it was kept very clean throughout our stay.

No me gustó: The shower facility was just a very small tent (didn't end up using it). Field is next to a busy road so quite a lot of noise from traffic. Website stated we'd have to buy charcoal/firewood on-site, but not sure this was available as couldn't find anyone on arrival to ask.

Me gustó: Loved this apple orchard site, plenty of space between pitches and room for my camper van 😁 basic but sufficient facilities for the size of the site…only used portaloo and water tap for my needs, didn’t get to see the shower room as someone was in it! Would definitely recommend this friendly and dog friendly campsite and would come back again. Many thanks

Me gustó: We loved our stay at Stancombe Ash, it fulfilled our needs as a base to explore Stroud and beyond perfectly. The orchard provided level pitching and some friendly chickens (which were very popular with the dog and the children!) Beautiful countryside views from the farm.

No me gustó: Close to a road so a little noisy.

Me gustó: Really lovely hosts, beautiful little orchard pitching spot - and such! a clean toilet all the way through the weekend :)
