Riverside Valley Camping

Me gustó Lovely location and it was nice to get a spot right next to the river.

No me gustó About 11.20pm a car turned up full of very noisy guests who put their headlights on full beam to try and put their tent up and the lights went straight onto our tent, they were very loud for just over an hour which was really annoying as up to this point our stay was very quiet and relaxing.

Me gustó Great open space, very quiet and peaceful, owners are really friendly and come round and see everyone. Pizza and fire pits on site are great but the best part for me was being able to pitch up meters from the kids play area so you can relax and still keep and eye on the little ones.

No me gustó Nothing really. Only change I’d recommend is to upgrade the latch on the toilets so there isn’t as much as a gap.

Me gustó We had such a lovely stay here and honestly couldn’t fault it.

It’s a brilliant family-run campsite with such a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The owners were so helpful from the moment we arrived and couldn’t do enough for everyone.

The kids’ play park was fantastic and kept the children entertained, while the family field was perfect for families. Our kids made friends almost straight away, which made the trip even better. We also had a look at the adults’ field, which looked amazing alongside the river.

The homemade pizzas were exactly what we needed after arriving and getting everything set up with the children, and they were delicious! The food van serving fresh breakfast cobs in the morning was another great touch – you really couldn’t ask for more.

The river is shallow in places, so it’s ideal for children to paddle, and there’s lovely woodland behind it to explore too.

The toilets were spotless every single day, which really stood out, and it was great that they even put the football on a projector for anyone who wanted to watch.

This is such a child-friendly campsite with everything you need for a relaxing family break. We had an amazing time and were already planning our next visit before we’d even left.

Thank you for a wonderful stay – we’ll definitely be back this summer!

Me gustó Lovely site, owner was super friendly and helpful, delivering firepits to each pitch in the evening (nice touch guys).... we stayed on the adult field, 1st time with a long drop loo, it wasn't as bad as feared.... one of the cleanest campsite loos iv seen .... defo coming back 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

No me gustó Struggling to think of anything ..... if I could change anything it would be the distant traffic noise, but not that the site was at fault for that ... lovely surroundings and sounds like it will be even better soon with the surrounding lake/woodland

Me gustó absolutely excellent site, loads of space for the kids to play, loved paddling in the river, the climbing frame.

lovely hot drinks served near the farmhouse and we had pizzas too.

On the Saturday night the owners set up a big screen for us all to watch the football together.

Me gustó Lovely campsite! Very child friendly!
Owners are very welcoming when you arrive and throughout the stay. Lots of room for pitches for lone tents or groups.
Food van open from the morning till night!
Will recommend.

Me gustó Simple campsite managed excellently.

Warmly welcomed by Katie and Alistair and checked in later to see if everything was ok.

We pitched in the family field with small children’s play area which appeared to be loved by 4 all the way to 14yr olds and the field had shaded areas which was a relief this time of year.

Unfortunately we had noisy (presumably drunken)neighbours well into the morning hours which was a shame but not on the owners.

Offered fire pit and starter logs (which we purchased). Pizzas from onsite van (which we purchased)- they let us use our own cheese and toppings as we are awkward allergics (see photo).

Really nice woodland walks nearby. We had a great stay.

No me gustó Inconsiderate campers. Maybe a curfew warning would be appropriate- especially in the family field.
