Me gustó Friendly welcome and nice stop off for only £15 a night. Newly built shower and toilet block.. lovely looking café bar on site (didn't visit). Could feed the goats. Dogs permitted on leads. Lovely view of the surrounding area and reservoir in the right spot.
Shower was great (you need £1 or 20ps) Had a bigger, accessible toilet
No me gustó Smell in toilets maybe from septic tank was overpowering.
There was a private function on when I arrived so loud and voices until late. I was told this on arrival and it really didn't bother me but it might others if expecting a quiet spot.
No proper washing up facilities at the time of writing but these were being built.
Planes fly over from Manchester airport and could hear road noise.

Me gustó What a site! Stunning views and the animals are all adorable. The barn is a wonderful facility to have with food and drink served in lovely surroundings inside and out. Toilets are way nicer than mine at home and kept spotless! Yes you can hear the A628 but so nice to sit on a hilltop watching the slaves to 9-5 racing up and down while you can just chill to birdsong and rolling hills! The swallows are a sight to see and bats too. Good campfire wood sold in cardboard boxes which makes a pleasant change from the environmentally questionable orange net bags. Lovely walks from site and the waterfall is a 30 min walk and spectacular to see. Not that many level pitches - vans are ok with levelling ramps. The views at night are something to see too!

The supplied fire pit made out of an old washing machine drum was a great additional at only £10 for the pit and wood
Being surrounded by the farm animals was a very pleasant bonus!

Good location to head off for walks without going on main roads.
No me gustó We were surprised that the view from the camping field is over houses and industrial buildings as you’re quite close to the town. Not really shown in the photos. That’s fine, but better to know what you’re going to get. I chose this as it looked to be more rural with views over water.
I think the advertised photos are from the car park field rather than the camping area, so be aware if considering.
It was a busy weekend with an event on which mean limited toilets as they are used by the bar/cafe visitors too. Didnt fancy going in in my pjs in the middle of a party 🤣. But maybe will be quieter other weekends.

The cafe bar was very handy for food and drinks.
No me gustó It was a hot weekend with a full camp site and the cafe bar was very busy. None of this is a bad thing, but they could do with more toilets for the number of people.

No me gustó Only one male sit down toilet for a site that size seemed inadequate, especially when the barn was extremely busy. Also there were no washing up facilities.

Me gustó Great facilities, bar weekend DJ (only certain weeks) food was amazing, staff owners all really lovely, welcoming and lots of expert advise on the local area.Lots to explore on foot.
