Location, site and pitches

Washing area for dishes etc. no shop on site.

Location, size and set up of pitch and Gordon (flash) the site manager was great and very helpful. We were only there for one night and it was perfect. A nice easy walk into Ovingham with dinner at the excellent White Swan was just what we needed.

facilities are very tired, we didn't use the showers as they were in a bit of a state because others hadn't cleaned up after them (mud and grass everywhere). The site warden was giving them a thorough clean in the morning but maybe they need to be cleaned more regularly.

Gordon the warden was very friendly and accommodating pitching us next to our friends who were on a grass pitch. He was very welcoming and helped with the local area. Campsite was quiet with plenty space well set up.

Toilets and shower were a little out dated. Only having 1 shower, 1 sink and 2 toilets in quiet a big site was a bit of a draw back.

Quiet, beautiful and loads of interest historical things to see very close by.
Value for money and friendly site management. Facilities good

Shower (only one in ladies) and toilets very old fashioned. Went to a dribble when anyone else was using the water.
Dish washing area was under a roof that had been repaired with bin bags and it had been raining and I got very wet standing under it.
I think they are part way through doing the site up. Some of it looked in great shape, especially where the mobile homes were. The parts I have mentioned were very run down and in need of attention.

Warden was 10 out of 10 site was nice

Not enough toilets/showers

Lovely clean, quiet site. Very friendly and helpful and great location, just opposite river. Apparently toilet block are about to have a refurb but they were very clean. Great value for money.
