Staff attention and friendliness

(flash) Gordan the warden could not do enough for you, from arrival to departure he would always be available for any enquiries you may have.
The site itself was Fab it was well maintained and ideal for that relaxing break.
Will definitely be back.

Welcome from Gordon (site warden). Helpful and friendly despite the site being full at weekend. Kept everywhere clean and tidy.

Inadequate toilet facilities. Just one WC and one urinal for all the men on site. Only two WCs for ladies.

We understand that much needed improvements are planned. Such would make us want to return.

We used it as a base to investigate the area and see friends. The ground keeper was extremely helpful, always happy and was always happy to answer any questions about the area and things to do/places to go with the kids.

Friendly atmosphere, with a very welcoming site warden. Facilities very clean.

Facilities are in need of update, particularly the washing up area which feels unsafe due to trees crushing the building.

Spaces for tent pitches were decent. Size of campsite was small and felt quite private. Has a giant chess/checkers set, although some of these are missing/broken. Toilet block was basic, but clean. Site warden was welcoming and friendly.

Peaceful and location was good for what we needed. The Ship at Wylam does amazing food! Pitches were massive. We were on grass and had a lovely corner plot, would have loved the fully serviced gravel they looked amazing but we booked too late so our own fault. Gordon the warden, what can I say what a lovely man couldn’t have done more for us, always around if you need anything. Thanks so much for an amazing week. We will definitely be back. Xx

Shower block needs updating but this is being done and is already on the cards.
It wasn’t bad bad just could do with an update and another shower adding.

Site was quiet and well kept. New owners in process of extending and revamping.
Lovely location close to shops and city. Also so nice a rural.

Only small issue was no tumble dryer at the moment. Also the shower doesn't have temperature control and doesn't stay on longer than 30 seconds a time.

Good location.

Toilets and showers desperately need updating, only one shower and one toilet, the urinal in the men’s smelt terrible. The place needs attention in general, dish washing facilities are terribly maintained and dirty. No bike hire of fire pit hire as advertised. From what we could figure the tent pitches are being converted in to caravan pitches so haven’t been maintained. Wouldn’t visit again.

Friendly, no fuss, no list of rules as soon as you get there. Gordon the warden was very helpful. It has the basics that you need.

Heavy machinery right outside the gate on what looks like a long job, but that’s not the sites fault.
