Very friendly helpful warden clean facilities Location. Handy for Newcastle and Hadrian’s Wall, lovely local ambles by Tyne

Pitches weren’t the biggest only one shower and 2 toilets, to be fair though site full wasn’t too much of a problem to us.

The pitches were large, with clean water and 16 amp electricity. The atmosphere was friendly. It was quiet at night and lively but not loud by day. The warden is great, giving advice and chatting nicely with the children. Hot showers.

Toilet paper ran out during each night, and lots of insects in the bathroom building.

Gordon the warden was very friendly. Good location for trains into Newcastle.

Only one toilet and one shower in the gents, two toilets and one shower in the ladies so may need to queue.

Level gravel serviced pitch. Easy walk to nearest village and into Prudhoe for the more adventurous. Access to the Tyne cycle path easy and well worth doing.

Facilities really need to be upgraded, didn't find the wash up area.

The site itself was Fab it was well maintained and ideal for that relaxing break.

Welcome from Gordon (site warden). Helpful and friendly despite the site being full at weekend. Kept everywhere clean and tidy.

Inadequate toilet facilities. Just one WC and one urinal for all the men on site. Only two WCs for ladies.

We understand that much needed improvements are planned. Such would make us want to return.

We used it as a base to investigate the area and see friends. The ground keeper was extremely helpful, always happy and was always happy to answer any questions about the area and things to do/places to go with the kids.

Friendly atmosphere, with a very welcoming site warden. Facilities very clean.

Facilities are in need of update, particularly the washing up area which feels unsafe due to trees crushing the building.

Spaces for tent pitches were decent. Size of campsite was small and felt quite private. Has a giant chess/checkers set, although some of these are missing/broken. Toilet block was basic, but clean. Site warden was welcoming and friendly.
