Warm and friendly people, was made to feel welcome, showed the facilities which were clean and answered all questions.

The pitch itself was lovely. Quiet and picturesque. The groundsman was very friendly and helpful with good local knowledge.

The toilet block is very old and dated. The dish washing block was ramshackle and vile. Both so awful that we took our dirty dishes to the next stop on our tour. We waited to shower at the next site as well.

Convenient location, quiet, friendly manager.

It could be lovely, but it’s badly in need of serious investment. One toilet and one shower for men, two toilets and one shower for women in a crumbling old block serving a large campsite. Piles of discarded equipment and building materials, dilapidated and abandoned sheds and caravans. It’s a mess and it’s not cheap.

Lovely site and the warden was friendly and incredibly helpful, good facilities.

Unfortunately there was a couple on the site who were drinking and playing loud music on the site (still going at 2am!) An argument ensued which involved in the lady trying to drive her car and police being called to site at 3am!!! Not much sleep had by our family and it spoilt my little boys first camping trip. In my opinion the warden should have thrown them off site but was nowhere to be seen!

Nice quite site, friendly staff and very helpful! Children loved hunting through the woods for fire wood

Not a lot on site for children but near by activities for children, lake water sports!

The grounds are beautiful, nice big pitches and Gordon was fab and very friendly and approachable.
Will definitely return.

Toilets and showers are in desperate need of an update, only two toilets and one shower in the ladies and one toilet and one shower in the gents.
The washing up area was disgusting - Dark and smelled of stagnant water so we washed up at our pitch so it didn't spoil anything but i am sure the updates will be in planning stage now that Maguires have taken over the site

Lovely site, close to amenities and transport links. Gordon, the warden, was so friendly and very informative of the area - he’s an absolute asset!

Will definitely visit again.

Nice quiet campsite, kept us away from very high winds with the lovely greenery, well kept site. The warden couldn’t do enough for us, turning up we had broke the trailer and he went out of his way to fix the electrics. He checked on us everyday and made great recommendations for places to go with the kids. Will definitely be back here based on the happy, smiling face you are greeted with. Thanks Gordon 😊
